Body kit. Stock and not only ... - Toyota Caldina, 2.0 liter, 2000
I got the car in a small tuning body kit.
In front hung a Japanese Ducks Garden tuning bumper from a famous Japanese auto studio. True, not the original, but a fiberglass copy (it costs several times cheaper and is not so scary to catch).
Between the headlights was a grille from a restyled Kaldina in the ActiveSport model.
The rear bumper is stock restyled with a tuned lining on the bottom of the bumper.
Initially, the bumper meant the installation of a front intercooler, since in summer and simply warm weather, the performance of a standard cooler located above the engine and blown through a nostril in the hood was clearly not enough. When installing the bumper from Dax Garden, the clearance of the car is greatly reduced, since the bumper hangs down very well, so the car was raised on spacers by about 5 cm.
But winter came with its snowdrifts and made its own adjustments to the life of the body kit. It was decided to replace the tuned bumper for the winter with a stock restyled bumper. At the same time, the rear bumper was brought back to normal, glued and repainted, the lining on the rear bumper was painted, the front grille was removed and painted, the mesh was replaced in it.
And of course a new front bumper was installed. The muzzle of the car has become noticeably higher and now it will be easier to park in snowdrifts ...
I wouldn't say. With this bumper, she went to St. Petersburg a couple of times, from where I was successfully driven. I went with him to Nizhny, to Diveevo.
Due to the fact that it is made of fiberglass, it is flexible enough and when it hits an obstacle, it bends, but does not break. In winter, when you run into a snowdrift, if it is not solid, then the bumper rakes it like a scoop. But if it is hard, then the bumper flexes.
But the weight is the same during the operation, he received a couple of breaks on the bottom shelf, plus after meeting with a snowdrift, it lacks the lower right corner, so yesterday it was removed, a stock bumper with fogs was installed. And this one will be washed, dried and re-glued with fiberglass.
Although there are still plans to glue it on the outside in one layer of carbon fiber under the varnish. But until we find the material and the performer ...
Agree. Glue with fiberglass and even repair the shortcomings with it, please, but for some reason they are afraid of carbon fiber ...
Well, that's all … the typewriter already has a restyled stock bumper with tumankami and an updated grille.
I'll post new pictures soon.
Don't be sorry, you have very helpful comments and criticism!
I’m still thinking about kanguring and mentally trying it on, and it’s also plastic, so it’s a clean overlay. I will shove Hella into my headlights. Well, maybe I’ll find where the old dead ones are and I’ll experiment on them first. Here is a link to angel eyes

CCFL shines much better, more beautiful and more uniform than a collective farm of diodes. There are of course worthy solutions on diodes, but their cost is high. And I’m taking them from the auction, because there the prices for them are for children. about 500 r came out for a set, and in the Russian Federation they asked for up to 2000 apiece, although maybe I was looking in the wrong place.
The wheels, in theory, should be sandblasted and painted, but for now there is something to bother with, so they are also in the background.
…
Kengurin why? I have a race, not a jeep, it seems to me that it will be superfluous.
Will you be a collective farm in these headlights? Give me a link to angel eyes (why is it so difficult to order from auk? There are a lot of diode tapes on sale here)
Wide molding - just like this goes to restyling, you have a molding from dorestyle, narrow. The mounts are the same, just the bumpers are also different, the offset is different.
Here is the narrow number - 75813-21020, but the wide one - 75813-21900 toyota.epcdata.ru/caldina...5w/26899/body/7504/75813/ I
saw your wheels - somehow not very. Wash them with a toothbrush? Yes, and the cooling of the 205 should be better, which means fewer spokes on the disks are better.
But this is all my IMHO, so I'm sorry if it is)))
Uh-uh-uh ... well, thank you for the well-founded criticism.
Let's go in order:
1) I've already thought about roof rails, but now there are a lot of other questions, so I've postponed them for now.
2) There will definitely be fangs. I am in active search, but so far either the price does not suit me, or they only give it with a complete bumper. By the way, there is still a plastic kanguring on the restyled bumper, I would also like to try it on.
3) The rear optics should also be transparent, already in line for purchase … after winter tires for 17, brakes from 205 seeders and the Fujisubu track.
4) Hella DE90 lenses came to the optics, a xenon kit for them, we are waiting for CCFL angel eyes from eBay, then all this will be collectively farmed into the front optics, painted in black mat. The turn signals are also waiting for modernization, but have not yet decided which one. There are several options with a bulkhead of the insides for LEDs with lenses, in general, I think.
5) But what is the wide molding of the 5th door? I've never seen it, please enlighten me.
6) The wheels are already on the 17th radius, by TMW (Techno Motor Works), made at the Enkei plant in Japan. There is even such a post, look at the bortovik. I hope you like it. :)
Damn, I’m looking at the pictures and thinking, well, what don’t I like? So: no railings — just does not look fully like that. Stock bumper — norms — current fangs are needed, look on the forums. The rear optics, in any case, in the trash, take the current transparent, just replace the lower molding of the 5th door with a wide one from the restyling. Replace or paint the front optics, I would also put yellow turn signals. And of course the wheels, the thread in the style of AVS M7 by 17"))
Here you are completely right. Plus, you push him a little, and he only bends, you give it back and he straightens up again ...
a fiberglass copy is normal))) the original costs under 70,000))) and if the fiberglass is hooked, then it sticks out again))) the main view)))
I agree, it's some kind of bad waste.
In addition, I have a car for everyday use, and this does not mean overly expensive bumpers and body kits, because you can accidentally crush them. And fiberglass is not a pity.
my friend ordered the original body kit from Japan! and what's the point ... 2 months in the garage, a couple of kilos of fiberglass and current AFTER ALL THIS body kit got up))))) my body kits (for happy circumstances) get up like family!))))) current I took mine for a penny, and from him 150t.r. the budget was
