Replacing head light bulbs (low beam) - Toyota Avensis, 2.0 liter, 2000
So, just before the new year, they took the dipped-beam lamp from me and died, everything would be fine, but it’s getting dark early now, and it’s getting late, so it’s not very good in the dark to and from work with one headlight.
So I had ordinary Philips H7 lamps, yellowish, lousy ones.
Naturally, I went to the car dealership and saw there nishtyakovy lamps Philips Crystal Vision 4300K
in addition to the overall lamps and only 1400r.
Yes, I forgot to say that when I picked out the lamp from the headlight, I broke the connector
for the lamp and burned the fuse of the left headlight. Bought more fuses.
In view of the fact that it is not very convenient for us to change lamps. and even more so the dimensions, and besides, the broken connector also ended up in the headlight, I had to remove both headlights for revision and normal installation of lamps and dimensions.
Removing the headlights is not difficult, but tricky, if you don’t know what to do, you can break firewood and plastic fasteners.
First - remove the decorative grille, because. she will interfere a lot.
Next, unhook the turn signals by pressing the plastic clip through the hole in the headlight. Once pressed, the turn signal should come out easily. Next, we unscrew 4 screws, 2 fasten the headlight to the body, and 2 are attached to the iron strip under the headlight, in principle, they can not be unscrewed, but it will be very problematic to get the headlight. Carefully remove the strip, by the way, it has a bent mustache and clings to the bumper so as not to bend it. We take out the headlight, it additionally snaps into the holder from below, so some effort must be applied, and the head must also be used, otherwise everything can be broken. :)
The second headlight is similarly removed.
At home, I washed the headlights from the outside, shook out all the junk that was lying in it, dried it, put the lamps neatly and put them back, the installation order is the reverse of removal :)))
Initial light
and new
the difference is immediately visible
I also plan to get confused with the light, I want to stick Osram, if I find it by the
way, I read many reviews about various lamps, and so, for some reason, many are unhappy with Philips ... but probably, in any case, they are better than stock lamps.
So I’m also looking, a friend on the same avik has an osram, he looks more like xenon, I think to put these lamps in the far one, and osram in the near one
