Something new? — Toyota Celica, 1.9 liter, 2001
I haven't written here for a long time. The car has not undergone significant changes.
In technical terms, EBC Turbo Groove brake discs and Green Stuff pads were ordered from a significant number.
In terms of styling, the machine strives to follow modern trends that for 2010 (well, or already 2011) point to Clean Look & Right Fitment.
Body kits from NFS Underground and the First Fast and the Furious were still in 2005. Just like the tinted headlights and the black mat of the headlights, they remained back in 2008. And if earlier it was really fashionable, not usually, interesting. Now it’s vulgar and monotonous…
I don’t argue, in many cases these solutions are really suitable for many cars, but for some reason our people doing styling set themselves the task of doing no harm rather than creating something new, individual.
Well, okay …
More and more looking at my typewriter, I want to make it lower and give it a more harmonious and cohesive look.
Every time I go outside and look at it, lowering it in my mind, in Photoshop, I understand that the spoiler stands out against the background of the whole car, it raises it and looks out of place with a strong understatement.
1 thought - it's time to tear it off to fuck.
And so I did, 20 minutes for a spoiler and 3 hours to eliminate holes and voila ...
Most of my friends did not understand my actions and reproached me to the fullest. But people look one-sidedly, not seeing the whole picture.
When I look at the car, I see it even more dropped, on other wheels + with the addition of some elements ...
Another thing is that now finances do not allow us to realize all our plans.
But a start has already been made.
1. I always wanted to see a roof spoiler on the Selick. But out of 2 offers on the market, I chose the 3rd - custom ...
Not one of them impressed me, they were too scary ...
Moreover, when charging Stance with movement, I did not want to sculpt a ton of body kit on the car. It was supposed to be a very neat spoiler, easily emphasizing the whole design as a whole, but at the same time maintaining a stock look.
There is only 1 person who, when making body kits from plastic (fiberglass, foam and the “other†I don’t like ...) could really do everything according to my sketch ...
2. Having made a spoiler on the roof, it turned out that he did not play with anything. The butt, in turn, looked deprived. It was decided to make a lip-spoiler. There were a lot of sketches, but I wanted something very neat, emphasizing the side face (edge) of the car.
Again, there are only a few offers on the market, the most beautiful of which is Brashboy.
The master, due to his laziness, hinted at BMW style, the same Brashboy, but I stubbornly stood my ground by setting the requirements:
I. Combination with a roof spoiler (Now, if you look at the car from the side, you can see how the roof spoiler plays with the spoiler on the trunk, which, in turn, with the bumper ...)
II. Visual extension of the side face of the car.
III. As accurate as possible, while maintaining Stock-Look.
The mod was redone 2 times, but in the end we achieved the result that I wanted, even unpainted and glued on 2 drops of sealant, it looks great.
Personally, I think that when the mod sits on the car as if it were a factory option, it was a success.
I will paint in the spring, because enough work has already been done for the maller.
Soon I will throw more normal photos ...
Just trying to give a little harmony to the car I'm looking for Authentic TRD elegant lip.
Here is a www.toyotacelicaonline.com/celica1/b7toyota3.htm
And now the poll…
Who will share their experience of using these screws:
I. Megan Racing Street Series Coilover
II.KSPORT Kontrol Pro Coilovers
III.Tein Super Street Coilovers & Tein Basic (I know that the difference is in 16 levels of stiffness adjustment, what else?)
IV. D2 Racing RC
I'm interested in daily use with occasional trips to the ring, so I'm more interested in quality than the number of adjustments.
So far I'm leaning towards Tein.
And I also want to wish the whole drive 2 a Merry Christmas! ! !
I heartily wish
you all a Merry Christmas!
I sincerely wish you happiness
in this bright hour!
May you be illuminated by the radiance
From a starry height
And wishes,
plans and dreams come true.
Let unexpected luck
Excite the blood. And of course, friendship and love
mean a lot !
Dude, everything you do with the car is great. I want to replace my brake discs. Hold the 5s. In the spring we will paint for a photoset, but for now in the sea)) ...
getfox
sealant + tin + native paint was + hair dryer + Polish and so 2 layers ... Not ideal, a little visible (somewhere from half a meter), in the spring I think it’s already normal to eliminate
Interesting choice =)

Attlitchny spoiler :) TRD IMHO, too, only not underestimated :)
And how did you close up the holes from the spoiler?
I love this style.
It is these little things that play an important role in the holistic image of the car.
Looks cool.
As for the suspension, take a closer look at XYZ, so far there are only positive reviews about it. Well, from the list of Theina or D2.
a wedge onion is nice)
this is your black frame for the number on the back, in general, spoils the whole picture, as for me! I didn’t think to get rid of it and just fasten a number without a frame like mine?!
Without a spoiler, the Selick is beautiful, it’s not for nothing that there are Europeans who went in stock without spoilers at all ...
Well written, it was interesting to read =)
About old ones. They were already 1 mm thinner than the minimum ... The new ones have already been skated for 1.5 seasons and everything is OK ... Only the pads wear out faster ...
Thanks. I already had to buy. The pads are on the way, and the front discs overheated and went in waves ... And too thin for grooves ...
Brakes are cool, I can’t go broke on them, something else always creeps into my head)
The spoiler turned out neatly, really like a native)
The problem is time ... They are already calling with stupid offers to go to Australia that way for 4 months =(
I have already posted an announcement both here and among the Pindos on the forum... Although you can always take a copy from Wing West...
Soria but at the moment I'm on a business trip. And very far from the machine. I'll rummage in the laptop, I think there were pictures when they did it.
listen, do you have pictures of this interesting spoiler on the edge of the back door? I'm going to do that too :)
