Slippers have grown - logbook Toyota Land Cruiser 1993
A week before the new year, I managed to dolift, collect all the little things, saw off the unnecessary, and finally roll in normal wheels.
while it is winter outside, I managed to test it only in snowdrifts, the sensations are the most pleasant. "Kills" abruptly UAZ on snowdrifts, due to dope. (on the same 35 cylinders, with all 3 locks, the UAZ did not have enough power to turn the wheels in a snowdrift over half a meter, I had to either burn the clutch, or somehow go back and immediately ram)
In terms of braking on ice, there is no rubber at all, except that when going skidding it collects snow in front of it, and then some kind of braking is felt. and the start is decent, FULL TIME drives :) and turbodiesel too)
lack of traction on 35x rollers due to the turbo pit has not yet been noticed
A serious application for the conquest of snowy off-road! :) :)
And the tread pattern is severe - anti-mud, and the size of the rubber is impressive, and the very appearance of Kruzak has become even more solid!
Such finishing touches are expensive, he lacked such wheels! Do you think to bring its equipment to the state of UAZ? And what exactly did you have to cut?
disputable not controversial, but I'm going to trophy, not even quite a trophy, but just orienteering in a swamp. Yes, I know that this is a heavy car for a trophy, big, but there is such a word as I WANT :) we
just often go on expeditions around the region, often go ahead, there is nothing to do without bumpers, this is not an UAZ, headlights and fenders are expensive. let it be better because of the heavy power bumpers before I unwind the winch, but you won’t have to look for exterior details by dismantling.
turned out to be a sprawling beast!
well, suppose that for an expeditionary, power bumpers are a moot point
the equipment will be gradually brought to a full-fledged expeditionary, such alterations cost a lot of time, very much ...
I had to file the front bumper a little :) when eversion wheels hurt
nothing supernatural :) you lift and roll in the wheels :)
I advise you to read the forum on liftovka, and you can read Reimpel's book, suspension designs.
this is a sooooo controversial issue :) people have already lost a lot of obscenities and nerves in disputes on this issue :)
I had an umz 421, it's a 3 liter. painstaking bulkhead, assembled everything cleanly and accurately, set everything up, valves up to tenths of a millimeter, distributor up to a millimeter, and then the car drove on 35x rollers, where ordinary 2.4 engines turned on a lowering, I easily walked on the first straight line, I tapped the gas. but with forced blocks, with 0.5 atm in 35x wheels, when they are not visible from the swamp ... the motor is clearly weak :)
yeah... that's why I'll try to squeeze at least something else out of my native UMP :)
it looks aggressive :)
and I encountered a lack of power of the UAZ on 31 wheels and 3 locks, also in snowdrifts half a meter deep, the engine suffocates, it doesn’t have enough power to crank it all up ... :(
lifted by 5-6 cm, I don’t remember exactly. spacers for springs, under traction (drop boxes), increased shock absorber mounts, stabilizer spacers. everything was done according to their drawings
-19 or -29, I don't remember exactly. BUT the rear calipers had to give in a couple of mm. I think with a departure of -40 everything would be decided by itself.
