car sizing — logbook Toyota Corolla Ceres, 1992

I decided to insulate, and at the same time soundproof the car. A lot of material was bought: vibroplast, splen, isolon of various thicknesses.

The hardest part was gluing the doors. The inner layer was glued thick vibroplast, the middle layer was thin vibroplast, the outer layer was splen. In advance, it is necessary to prepare plastic tubes for the door lock pull, so that they do not stick to the vibroplast. In the process of use, it turned out that the splen under the door trim emits a rather loud creak, so it is better to replace it with bitoplast and glue it directly to the trim itself.

The hood is simple. The material is isolon, cut to the desired size, and glued. The main thing is how to degrease the surface.

Trunk. I glued it between the ribs with vibroplast, and then with one large piece of isolon. Plans to paste over not only the lid, but the entire trunk from the inside.

Roof. It was sealed with a thin vibroplast, with splen on top. In general, everything is also simple.

While doing all this, I was a little skeptical about all the reviews I read about the warmth and silence in the car. Did it, went and was pleasantly surprised.

Pitfalls:
1. before pasting the doors, think carefully, you don’t want to do anything else, because. Otherwise, you will have to rip everything off and do it again.
2. When gluing the floor, do not remove the gas tank cable and the trunk opening cable under the vibroplast - they need free movement.
3. The same applies to wiring - it will be problematic to get to it later.

Most of all I liked working with STB vibroplast, it is softer and more elastic.

Materials and tools used:
1. Vibroplast thick 9 sheets (5 on the floor and 4 on the door)
2. Vibroplast thin 9 sheets (4 on the door, 3 under the rear seat, 2 roof)
3. Splen 5 sheets (2 doors, 3 on the floor and rear seat)
4. Double splen 1 sheet (on the roof)
5. Isolon 3 meter-powered (0.5x3) on the hood and trunk
6. Industrial hair dryer
7. Stationery knife
8. Large scissors
9. Degreaser
10. Rags
11. Roller ( better with a table roller narrow for rolling vibroplast - will speed up the process)
12. Marker
13. Roulette

In terms of time - if you do one 2-3 full days for gluing the whole machine.

how much heavier? I really want the same thing, but the issue with the final weight of the car worries me.

got much better. You just need to buy a little better material. it will be easier to install.

not as much as it seems. even if 30-35 kg, this machine will not feel such a weight. I'll probably take an example from you.

Doing the right thing! My floor is only glued, I will also solve the issue of gluing in terms of heat
