Missing last gear automatic transmission — logbook Toyota Altezza 2010
The new year began with all sorts of unpleasant breakdowns, although not expensive (oil pressure sensor, fuel pump).
This morning, the automatic transmission on the highway behaved perfectly: everything switched clearly and in a timely manner. In the evening, I was driving again along the same route, but the automatic transmission failed and stopped switching to the highest gear, therefore, at a speed of 140 km / h, my engine spun up to 5500 rpm.
Since I was driving in the evening, all service stations are closed, so far I have done a survey of familiar mechanics. Opinions differed: from removing the battery terminal (to reset errors), exiting the solenoid (responsible for this transmission) and to replacing the automatic transmission. Therefore, I will start with the terminal and upon returning home I will think further what to do with the box (((
Sounds like a false alarm. I fried the car on the highway up to 190-200 km / h, everything switched fine ... It seems that yesterday there was just some kind of glitch, but you still need to change the oil ...
At first it behaved the same way and I was already starting to think about the worst, but now the oil seems to be loose and everything works fine!
