Locking doors: safety or trap - Toyota Carina ED, 2.0L, 1995

We were going home from the dacha, started the engine, opened the hood to listen to how it was working, pressed the throttle lever a couple of times ... after closing the hood, I went to the door, and it was closed (I forgot that it closes when you gain more than 1500 rpm) pulled all the doors - closed! Only the trunk is open, but it was not possible to lower the backrests. It's good that we were in two cars and my parents went for the second set of keys, and I was guarding my working machine. During the waiting time, the fan turned on 3 times, the fuel light came on (at least it was good enough to get to the gas station). managed to wash it, though it was already dark. When the keys were brought, he turned off the engine, opened the hood to cool down a little and drove home through the gas station.

So dear car owners, be careful with door locking, whether it be an alarm or a factory locking system, this is certainly very useful thing, but only when you are inside the car!

Eh (Well, of course, if there is a spare set of keys ... Otherwise, just with a wire, bending the edge of the door, pull the handle from the inside ...

well, maybe you're right and not a couple of hours, but a little less than an hour

I opened Mustang with steel wire, 6 mm in diameter, wrapped with fabric tape. There, so as not to break the glass, I was sweating! But mark2, also without frames, succumbed in 30 seconds) As for stepped - I don't know which is better. Wait a couple of hours. Or, as an option, burst expensive glass //////

just for this, in my frameless doors, the cracks (which my hands do not reach to adjust in any way), but this idea had to be opened with a wire (at the dacha it is full), so I tupanul!

What can you not do in a situation without an exit. He pushed back the wide half with his foot in the upper right corner when viewed from the trunk and extended his arm. At the same time, the hinges in the lower middle and the body in the upper left corner where the latch was at the siduhi suffered. all restored now no traces of penetration.

how did you manage to open them? there are loops as thick as a finger ?!

I had the same garbage. The trunk was open, it somehow leaked through the siduhi. Pravda bent the mounts (there was no other way out, it was far from home), but then everything was returned back, as if nothing had happened.

I already thought maybe somewhere behind the bottom to hide.

damn it, just hang a spare key around your neck so that you don't get caught like that again

By the way, my lock closes sometimes, as you wrote, and sometimes when you press the brake and go to drive from the parking lot.

I heard about locking the doors, but so far only in theory.)) nothing happened. true, I can climb through the trunk, there is a special handle, you press, and the seats tilt))) like the third entrance))

B
BS-m 06.12.20

useful handle the main thing is that in such cases the trunk is open

B

you can just wear the keychain from the signaling separately from the key, for example, fasten it to your jeans

d
didar 06.12.20

but you can simply make a stock of keys and put it somewhere in the front bumper, and so that you know the current, this is how my neighbor does, unless of course you forget

d
didar 06.12.20

also good option

n
naomi 06.12.20

"what would you know the current, this is how my neighbor does" the
neighbor hides badly, since he is not the only one who knows)))

I always thought that only from speed

B
BS-m 06.12.20

they close at a speed above 30 km / h and at engine speeds of 1500

J
JuniorOk 06.12.20

strangely I noticed on my own that only when the car picked up speed over 20 km / h then only the doors slammed!

R

Namely, in the signaling itself, such a function, I will turn it off as soon as my hands reach it.
By the way, this is done for safety to prevent robbery)))))

why jam? for the central lock to open?

R
Roman66859 06.12.20

the most bummer when you want to quickly put someone in a car, but you have to jam it. The guy and I tore off the European pen on a nine.
