Changed and got moral satisfaction =) - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 L, 2004
It's time to clean the bones of your car!
So, after diagnostics of all sorts of units by SNRVISMEN, it was decided to purchase the necessary spare parts:
1. Tie rod 800 r.
2. Front pads 890 p.
3. Repair kit front caliper guides (with guides) 1400 r.
3. Brake fluid 400 rubles.
Total for spare parts: 3490 rubles.
They took 3400 rubles for the work. (together with diagnostics)
Total: 6890 p.
Soon oil change and plus sing the drive belt rollers (the one on the pump, compressor and generator).
I haven’t considered the money yet.
The result brought moral satisfaction.
Ps do not buy Lucas / TRV pads. They died very quickly.
Price tag: 6 890 ₽ Mileage: 87 700 kmIn principle, if the pads braked well and did not "float" from overheating, then their rapid wear can mean slow wear of the brake discs. So it even seems to be good ... And if the pads run for a long time, then they probably have a more durable composition, which means they eat the disc more intensively. It will be cheaper if you change the pads more often.
it is clear, you will have to wait until they disassemble it, but it will be clear there, you may have to buy it.
When dirt enters the guides, grooves form on the bushings. And this is no longer good. Moreover, the difference in price was not significant.
Why did you buy a caliper repair kit along with the guides? I have the same problem - the calipers acidified, but only at the back and the guides were told not to take, I bought only rubber bands. They said that they usually change the guides if there was a blow or something like that.
