Put the panel in order - Toyota Corolla Runx, 1.8 L, 2001
After arriving from Japan, the panel was badly scratched in one place (before the sale, it was glued with a Toyota sticker). It also shone with a poisonous green light.
Made:
I glued the panel with ORACAL carbon film;
replaced "Rubber bands" on bulbs to give the light a red tint instead of green.
Technology at the request of "kirill-abakan":
The first step is to disassemble the entire panel completely, remove the buttons, and overlays on the clock display and the stove. They are glued and made of plastic, so you need to peel them off carefully so as not to break.
Having all the parts on hand, we need to estimate how much film we need and take with a margin. You need to take NOT the usual ORACAL, but a special film that stretches well (this copy is sold at us for 2700 rubles per square meter). We need the stretch of the film in order to cover the convex places.
Itself is tight with the help of hands, a hair dryer, a knife and a spatula for grinding vinyl and removing bubbles:
- we mold the film;
- we heat with a hairdryer at a distance of 15-20cm, not always, otherwise the film will simply melt and 'shrink';
- we pull where necessary slowly, not in a hurry so as not to break);
- we roll it with a spatula so that everything is glued.
We collect, glue the pads back, install them in the car and admire them. And then we show us what happened)
generally became super!
Damn, I think another time, if I have a panel under a tree, I would have jittered too, otherwise I don't want to drag it out "psvdo tree"
I myself recently scratched (while I was putting it to the magnetologist. I almost stuffed my hands)
Looked good, I wanted to fit it too, dissuaded) The
stock color distinguishes the Torpedo from the total mass of the panel, it looks better than the carbon one) IMHO
I want to try to put white LEDs, otherwise with white backlighting of the legs and a white speedometer, the red ones will not look particularly good, but the green ones are not ice = (By the way, I have exactly the same carbon =) only weaving in the other direction =)
I still haven't tasted Che, how can I change gum from green to red ... even just where to get them?
