followed by sanding on the rotation of different grains of sandpaper, starting with 100 grains (to peel paint) and ending with a great sandpaper on the foam 240, 400 and 600 from my recipe for polishing.
Sandpaper on foam has excellent permeability at the time of polishing a flat surface (it is flexible and does not break, unlike the sandpaper on paper or fabric basis).
And most importantly - it is not clogged with aluminum shavings which accumulate on paper sandpaper in the form of lumps and severely scratch the surface of the disk, which complicates the process and reduces the quality of the final result.
Sandpaper on the foam has a special coating and the chip is easily removed dry, without water, light strachovanie glove.
And then 10 minutes polishing my pastes and circles convinces to tremble at the polishing speed and delight at the mere sight of the final outcome:
Remove masking tape and wipe antisilicone the center of the disk:
followed by gluing the edge of shelf 2 layers of masking tape to protect the polished shelf during transport and tire:
Also antisilicone cloth and wiped the traces of weights on the rim:
