optitron - Toyota Corona, 1.8 L, 2000
Optitron installation
Price tag: 1 500 ₽I understood correctly :) I bought it with chips, in the net there is enough information on the alteration, if hands grow from the right place with beer in a couple of hours you can put it.
I have another question: on 4 - 5 photos it seems that part of the inner side of the panel is cut off! What it is? Because I have the same thing on my car :) But I didn't cut anything myself, I thought the previous owner was doing something! Or is it like this in stock? :)
Yes you are right. This is a panel with tinted glass and a "fluorescent lamp" inside, which gives uniform illumination of the dial and hands, lights up only when the key is turned.
Tell me the fool, how the optitron differs from the usual one ?!)
As I understand it, the optitron lights up when the ignition key is turned, and not when the dimensions are turned on, and it glows constantly ... Am I wrong ?! =)

Hey.
I found myself an optitronic panel without chips. Now I suffer. Do you have an extra set by chance?
I bought a radio tape recorder without chips, I also broke how to do it. Then I went to the radio parts store, bought the required size connectors for the "mother", crimped them on the wires, then put a piece of heat shrinkage on each mother so that it would not close, stuck the mothers into the radio, following the pinout and filled the connector with hot glue. Not very pretty, but everything works (and you can't see it there). Anything I can help you :)
