First entry) - Toyota Chaser, 2.5 liter, 1997
I decided to try to write something in the logbook.)
So, the summer season on our wonderful island is in full swing. Three weeks of absolutely cloudless weather, a kind of record for our places) On weekends and in the evenings, there is such emptiness in the city that you rarely see on the streets on January 1st. Everyone who had the slightest opportunity to be closer to the sea immediately took advantage of it. I was no exception with my wife and a company of true friends.
But since I myself, and my comrades, are people who are quite seriously ill with tuning (a disease that, as you know, can only be cured by buying a Ferrari or, at worst, a Porsche gt3), there were some changes in the car.
At first, one of the sunny Saturdays was spent on replacing the turbine, because. It was suspected that she had died. Subsequently, it turned out that the suspicion was unjustified. Fortunately, the faithful comrade Eneskay with his keen eye (even two) spotted a malfunction and, soon, the turbine blew out at full strength with its stock one-kilogram power. The reason that the turbine did not blow turned out to be a banal flute in the muffler, or rather, thermal insulation, which clogged this flute and the exhaust gases had nowhere to go, respectively, the turbine gained no more than 0.2-0.3 pressure points and then the car did not go stupidly. Anyway, in the end I was satisfied, because I got a very lively in appearance and technical condition of the turbine. Now the old turbine will remain a spare)
A couple of days later, bluoff was installed. There was no desire to buy a Japanese HKS for 250 bucks, so a Chinese counterpart was purchased. Upon closer examination, it turned out to be almost indistinguishable from Japanese, even the inscription on the box "Made in Japan". A home-made plug was installed in place of the regular bypass, made with the feasible participation of Al-exe , thanks to him for this) As a result, of course, there is no practical benefit from the blue-off, but it acquired a cool "zilch", which I had long wanted. Now I go and pshit everyone)
I am preparing for the imminent installation of an oil cooler, which is at home and is waiting in the wings. Also in the cabin is an automatic transmission cooler, waiting for me to find fittings for it. As it turned out, we have a problem with this, one office deals with everything and prices are beating as if they were not selling fittings, but launching a shuttle.
It seems that everything is from the latest information. There are no photos yet, because I am writing from work, I will add later.
By the way, about the pictures. It seems like on Sunday we have an awesome photo session here, almost all more or less recent generations of mark-like ones will participate, Al-exe again coordinates this whole thing . So I hope that soon I will have beautiful pictures)
Well, if everything goes smoothly, then soon I will get my hands on a couple more useful goodies, as they say - see in the next series.))
