Oil and brake fluid change — logbook Toyota Corolla 1988
I changed the brake fluid the other day, the old one was gray! Topped up with Toyota fluid. I also changed the Liqui Moly 10-40 oil, I didn’t pour the original one, I think the motor won’t feel it with such a mileage. Oil 230 UAH, brake 100 UAH.
Mileage: 406 400 kmI also poured 10W-40 XADO current from the draft barrel into the old motor, the motor perceived this oil not bad) and now I pour the original 5W-30
The fact is that at operating temperature, the viscosity of the oils is the same, these numbers show the viscosity at ambient temperature.
In the Yaris, I also pour the original 5-30, but in the Corolla the mileage is 406000 and it eats oil, so I see no reason to pour a less viscous oil. The car was recently kplena, so quietly everything will be restored as the money comes in. Perhaps I will also change something on the motor, and then I will pour 5-30 (:
