My Frozen Corolla - Toyota Corolla, 1.8L, 2008

My Frozen Corolla - Toyota Corolla 18L 2008

Wow ... what's going on on the street! My poor "Iron Horse", all covered in ice!
I had to defrost it, and lo and behold, she is alive as never before, only very dirty, so I'm thinking how to clean it carefully (I absolutely do not rent it for washing)!
By the way, if suddenly there is no washer, no defroster, or anything else at hand, and the windows go away for a long time, buy mineral water (no gas) and some table salt (if possible) in the store. One and a half liters of mineral water and a pinch of salt will do the trick very quickly! It helped me the other day, it's good that physics and chemistry lessons came to life in my head, thanks to the teachers! And also a good remedy so that the rubber bands on the doors of the car do not freeze and it is easy to open the doors later, wipe the rubber band and the body (where the door elastic adjoins) with an ordinary colorless greasy sponge for shoes, which has been proven many times, does not freeze even after rain and -7 degrees, it opens like clockwork, and the rubber bands are all intact ;-)
In the photo, the thickness of the ice that was removed from the roof of the car (about 3-4 mm).

In a similar situation (I left the car to spend the night under the chimney of the operating thermal power plant, as a result, in the morning, instead of the car, there was an ice bump) tore off the door, started the stove full and went to bask in the security booth. In 40 minutes it was possible to go. Only the trunk remained in the crust.

Well, as for salt, I only try to pour on the windows, and then wipe it with a washer, and rub the rubber bands too ;-)

Yes, the weather is going on with you ...
Salt defrosts well, but after it it would be good to rinse the car with water.
And so that the gum does not freeze - silicone spray. I process all the rubber bands with it after every wash.

I had the same thing, only it started raining in the afternoon, and everything froze immediately. I've never seen such a car. Everything was covered with a crust. The windshield was warmed up for 20 minutes, and that's not all, it was enough to move the car in the parking lot closer to the security house. I left the car at work that evening, I did not dare to go on the rink.
