Let there be light — logbook Toyota Corolla 1999
Today it finally happened, what I was waiting for 2 weeks, the tailgate from the Corolla / Sprinter AE110 in the SE-saloon configuration arrived and I finally assembled the trunk lighting. Separate respect and respect to the Japanese designers who lay down a unified wiring! I just connected the purchased lighting lamp and limit switch to the appropriate connectors and voila! everything is working. Contrary to my misconceptions, there is enough light to distinguish objects in the trunk .
It turned out to be very budgetary for the money:
1. Toyota 81330-12020 lighting lamp (230.40 rubles)
2. Toyota 84231-12130 limit switch (288.07 rubles)
I decided not to collective farm with a tape, but to make a factory light) Although I also thought about the tape ...
about the collective farm: the previous owner made a square hole in the panel, and inserted a button for the foglights from the nine there, the hole, by the way, is larger than necessary) I
swear every day, as I see
Heating is standard wiring provided, at least for me. But what kind of mirrors to put, here I will not tell you, because I was not interested in this issue.
I think if the rear strut from the station wagon fits, then it's better to change it along with the thrust bearing. Put it from the same station wagon, i.e. designed for a strong spring and rack. Native opornik will be too flimsy for such loads. You shouldn’t jump, but you won’t train at high speeds either (from 130-140 km / h).
Thank you)
I had to pick a shelf and only then found a tail for the ceiling. Well he was hidden. I will order a limit switch now and do it humanly)
By the way, there are a couple more questions. I've been searching the forums for a long time too.
Heated mirrors standard wiring provided? There are a lot of mirrors in the existential and it is not clear how they differ except for the price. I looked after Mabitek 92309808 but is it in size ...
And about the rear springs. After I mocked the car, loading it like a bus, it began to fail on the right ass. If you put springs and shock absorbers from the station wagon, will it not jump along the road without loading? won't throw anything up? :)
So, in order.
Firstly, if the light in the cabin turns on when the trunk is opened, then the trunk limit switch is connected to the limit switch of one of the rear doors. Almost all installers do this, unfortunately. It is treated very simply. You track down where the wire goes from the trunk limit switch, and at the place of twisting (again, rarely anyone solders, usually it is twisted) you tear it off. Next, you disassemble the panel, find the signaling unit, climb into the Internet to download the instructions for it. You download and read on the last page what color wire is responsible for the trunk trigger. You build up the missing section between the signaling unit and the limit switch with a suitable piece of wire. Now when you open the trunk, the light in the cabin will not light up. Got it sorted out.
Now about cutting this wire and including it in the same lighting circuit. You will have to bring a constant plus to the ceiling, and the minus can be safely connected to the signaling limit switch. By the way, I have implemented it with a minus. Only I hooked the signaling to my own lighting limit switch (the one I bought), and not vice versa.
The connector for connecting the ceiling, of course, does not hang in the trunk. To find it, you will have to remove the sheathing of the shelf behind the rear seats, and there, exactly in the middle of the iron shelf, this connector modestly lurked. As I wrote above, the Japanese lay identical wiring in all cars, just further, based on the future configuration, they either use connectors or not.
"Does the light come on in a closed trunk when the door is opened?" no, now the trunk and the car door are different concepts. True, provided that you do as it is written in the first paragraph of this message =)
Uff, it seems that I answered all the questions. If something is not clear, ask, I will try to prompt and explain as much as possible =))
Hello. He gave birth to the idea to make a light in the trunk. Car ae114 heh salon. just did not find a plug for the ceiling. where could it be hidden? if I suddenly don’t find it, you can cling to the wire from the trunk opening sensor (it was nailed when the signal was set) there is such a meaning - the trunk is open - the circuit closes to the body and the car thinks that it has opened and the light in the cabin lights up. So I'm thinking of cutting it and picking up the cover.
In short, the question is - is it possible to do this? I won’t burn anything like that?
And another question. Does the light come on in a closed trunk when the door is opened?
Trunk light thing! Only after using it I realized how useful it is and simplifies automotive life =) The bulb is an ordinary 5W, baseless, as everywhere in the backlight
Tell me, where did you connect the limit switch, I saw one unused connector near the wiring with the rear stops, maybe it's mine?
well done! and I myself at one time fenced the trailer! Yes, and naturally set the ceiling another!
Greetings) is this limit switch also powered to the panel? Does it show when trunk is open?
