"Optitron decides" - Toyota Mark II, 2.5 liter, 1993
So, after reading all the information on TourerV.ru related to the optitron, I realized that there is nothing difficult to install. Decided to put myself. I bought it via the Internet, it came all the way from Vladivostok! Everything turned out very beautifully, I can’t stop looking at how I sit behind the wheel :))
I will describe the entire installation process, maybe someone will also want such beauty!
So let's go!
First I made all the arrows red. With vodka, a syringe and a red permanent marker! They are originally white! Then I already installed it.
Installation process:
Remove the frame by unscrewing the two bolts on top, and see the following picture:
We unscrew the dashboard (it is fastened with four bolts: 2 on top and 2 on the bottom) and we see 4 chips:
We mark all the wiring with stickers:
Now we get the wires out of the chips (the most time-consuming work!) It’s quite difficult to do this, it took me 2 hours to do it, and the first 1.5 hours to understand and adapt how it’s done. So, we take the pin in our right hand, take the wire with our left hand and press it into the chip as much as possible, (all the way) we put the pin as shown in the photo and press the wire lock with it, and in the meantime we try to pull the wire out with our left hand. It does not work right away, sometimes you have to suffer. Well, I hope I explained it clearly enough:
Chips and plastics from them are put in one place so as not to lose :)) And yet, removing the last posting, HOLD IT from the chip! otherwise you will, as I remove the steering column shell to get it))
After all the manipulations, a rather pessimistic picture is obtained - about 50 dangling wires, but everything is not so scary! The aesthetically pleasing assembly process begins! take the wire, insert it into the chip in accordance with the lower square of the sticker:
We take an optitron (finally :)) and insert our converted chips into it (I advise you to check it in advance for the presence of burnt bulbs!) We throw it on the battery! TURN ON THE IGNITION! and BEAUTY! we admire the whole thing for a couple of minutes and start checking whether everything works! Turn on the PWR on the box, make sure that the lamp is off (like most of them) :) Then we start the car and look at the tachometer - everything is in order (unless, of course, you have an optitron from the same motor. if not, you will have to solder the diode , as described at the beginning of the topic). As a result, a couple of bulbs on the box did not light up for me and PWR did not light up:
Remove the optitron again, pull out the PWR bulb. We cut the common track from it, and put the wiring under it, and the other end to the GND contact. Then watch the plague, no other lights are on. Either the lamps themselves burned out, or they were not connected correctly, or the wiring contact in the chip that is responsible for this bulb is bad (it was just in my case, I just corrected the contact ear in the chip and it all worked):
We put the Optitron again (I screwed on the lower bolts, because in order to fasten the upper ones you need to make a spacer, because the upper mounts of the standard panel and the optitron are different). The result is in this photo! There are gaps, but not critical, they are almost invisible if you do not look closely.
And now we go and enjoy the new beautiful dashboard :))
PS: later I will take a photo of how it looks at night!
Next in line is the interior lighting with diodes and the hauling of wood grain inserts in a carbon film!
Here is the pinout:
And here is the night photo:
Having driven tonight, I found that I had something with the catalyst (the light came on, I looked at the stock panel - the previous owner just unscrewed the light there), no one knows why it can burn?
And I also realized that I underpainted the arrows of the speedometer and tachometer. Some pink pancake, if I don’t solve the problem with the catalyst normally and I have to remove the panel to get the light bulb, then I’ll finish the arrows for one thing!

it was necessary to lay out the pinout here, it would be even more useful ...
and yes! - decides! I also changed from electronic to optitron at 90m
The optitron generally decides ... I also set it for myself ... :)

try to find it for dismantling (I didn’t succeed) or on the tourerv.ru/forum/ forum in the sell ads section, see about the breakdown of cars. I just bought it there!
Well, what steers optitron, I always knew! But here's an interesting question, will it be difficult to plug in an optitron at 90 with an electric scoreboard? And they say the sensor will need to be changed in the tank
you can plug it in) everything is possible in Russia =)) the fuel tank will really need to be changed = (
here, by connecting these articles together, you can recreate the wiring diagram:

well, this is a matter of taste, actually) for a year and a half, the electrical panel was very cheered up)
On ordinary atmospheres, it seems to me that the electric scoreboard looks better, but on a turbo it’s another matter, arrows are needed there and preferably TRD tidy, so that the numbers are cosmic)
Yes, I'm not arguing, it's everyone's business. I also like the optitron, but I will put it in one case, swap ... :)
Great ! I also decided to get confused :) but I can’t find any information! .. a panel for three chips and I have four :(
About the catalytic converter. He's overheated. You need to turn off the engine and wait until it cools down.
And if you put the snake with D3 and D? According to the idea everything should work?!
You can do this, but this is extra trouble for me. now overdrive is not displayed on the scoreboard.
I take it you have an electric board? right now I want to change my elekro to an optitron, did you change the fuel sensor too, right?
I won’t tell you for sure. Read tourerv.ru, everything is very detailed there on sensors and optitrons
do you know what that sensor looks like? how to change? And what is the correct name for it? as I understand it, right now I need a fuel sensor from the hundredth body, right?
what is this electrical panel from? In the photo, you can see that it was analog. but I know for sure that you will have to change the sensor.
And you can find out immediately from which engine optitron? Or will you have to take it randomly?
Hello! please tell me on the optitron panels I removed the arrows, they jumped out with needles! I can't sway them. when on off ignition, they twitch, as if trying to stand still on their own, but it doesn’t work! please tell me it is very necessary!
with respect
Kazakhstan Almaty!
Could you please tell me if your speedometer was on a cable, or electric? And if I have a cable, do I just need to change the speedometer sensor on the box?
Guys help! I installed an optitron on the JZX90MT, the battery indicator is constantly on and half of the others are off when you turn on the ignition. Maybe someone has a pinout of wires for installing an optitron in 90 Mark on the mechanics?
How did you solve the frame issue? I also put an optitron, now I'm racking my brain so that there are no gaps.
Why didn't you put in an e-mail? in the same place, a more accurate fuel supply shows ... or do you like the switch more?
I had all the wires according to the diagram, I won’t even tell you. How many years have passed...
Hello
, I had a problem like this, I started to designate the wires, well, according to your example, and I came across that in two chips there are fewer wires than in the repinning scheme, what should I do and what should I do?
snegir06
Hello, an electrician installed such a tidy for me instead of the usual one, everything works except for the speedometer, maybe he mixed up some kind of wire, can you tell me how to find it (the wire), otherwise the electrician disappeared somewhere)
Solved a problem?
