Car diagnostics after purchase — logbook Toyota Mark II, 1994
Car diagnostics took place in parallel with the replacement of all fluids in the car - in the box, in the engine, antifreeze, etc.
As a result:
on the suspension, it will be necessary to replace the stabilizer bushings and the steering cross, which the previous owner gave me with the note "did not have time to change"
the power steering hose is leaking, it will be necessary to replace
it and in the spring I will change the radiator pipes, they are alive, only one was rewound with a rope for some reason, in short, in the spring, along with the frontal, normal pipes will stand up.
no more stocks were found
. Fortunately, after replacing all the fluids, no extraneous sounds appeared, which means that the motor is really alive, and did not "breathe only on additives" ...
After MOT, we went for a ride and after a little annealing, some kind of tapping appeared from under the hood))
At first they thought that the shafts, and the fact that they poured heavily liquid oil revealed a knock ...
However, the stethoscope showed that the knock was from under the timing case, as a result, it was necessary to replace the timing tensioner pulley and tensioner
total:
oil in the Shell Helix 5W40 engine (with all flushes) - 2000 rub
oil in a box - 4000 rub.
antifreeze - 1000 rubles.
tension roller - 2400 rubles
tensioner - 1700 rubles
given that this tourer V, and even in the 90th body, is really alive ... at one time I was looking for a simple mark of the 90th, but almost everyone was already tired ...
What's wrong with your cross? rattling? I shook the whole suspension the other day, but still the rattling remained. I think maybe it's the crosspiece that gives such a sound. even if you drive very slowly on an almost flat road, there are still some knocks. I'm going to change tomorrow!
Congrats on your purchase, by the way!
Thanks! ) There are no obvious knocks, but there is a small backlash, the previous owner bought it, and gave it to me as a load. As I’m going to do the collapse, I’ll probably shake up all this small things, look at the silent blocks, they can rumble, the crosspiece can rattle, they can stand on small bumps.
