Timing, exhaust, air. — Toyota Camry, 2.0 liter, 1989

    Toyota Camry 20 1989

Many thanks to the guys from RS service for helping me repair my beauty :)

The timing belt was replaced with all the rollers, the old belt was definitely not changed by someone, it was in a deplorable state, and also thanks to the 22 year old Japanese bolts, which were everywhere badly unscrewed, broken and sunk :)
I changed the front engine pod, I thought to change the right one, but she is quite alive, and while the exhaust was cooking (a part of stainless steel at 54), I finally brought in the rear wiper, now a blunder ... :)

The can for the exhaust is barn full, it was necessary to take a branded one ...

Yes, I recently changed the timing belt, though to a non-original one, so I’ll point it out)

although it’s also not a fact that there is no soot on the pistons and the caps won’t bend ...

And when the timing belt breaks, the valve does not bend, do you remember?

Do not bend the valve on them. Motors of the old school with a fairly large combustion chamber. Belts are good either GATES or SUN from non-original. The rest is short-lived nonsense.

there is really little space there, but the crankshaft pulley fucked my brain, I had to build a puller. There are a lot of casing bolts, they also did not let me get bored.

Is the timing belt hard to change? I don't think there is enough space.
