Preparation and painting of the bumper and fender. — Toyota Sprinter Trueno, 1.6 liter, 1997
what i already did.
puttied, sanded, filled with liquid putty (there were quite a lot of holes like from a needle ... I didn’t fill the soil, then I sanded it again, primed it ... and once again sanded it for painting. Now my fingers of my right hand hurt and I will dream of sanding.
But now I understand what painters take money for. and we say it’s even more expensive :)))
By the way, initially the matrix for the bumper was made for restyled optics, but after asking Tyomych he was stunned and made a slightly different cut for the headlights ... plus I also removed too much and got up like a native)
in total it took 3 days for 3 hours (9 hours if it were uninterrupted and did not wait until the soil dries, etc.)
So 1) removed the bumper
2) Putty
3) Primer
4) Final sanding before painting.
5) We take hold of the wing (removed, primed it and sanded it).
6) Ordered paint.
7) Actually painting parts.
8) Base (or substrate) any more or less suitable color of the machine.
9) On top of the substrate, the main color (which I ordered).
