Replacement acoustics - Toyota Avensis, 1.8 L, 1998
It's no secret that the standard acoustics for the most part is a rather deplorable sight. So in Toyota they saved on it - the sound is rather stupid, there is no bass, the sound is not intelligible.
We managed to buy 6 * 9 JBL speakers in the rear shelf and an amplifier at a ridiculous price in advance in the Media Market. Front Component JBL - birthday present.
It all started with the installation of "pancakes" in the rear shelf - half a day was tormented by sawing out with a jigsaw. And she still turns out to be ribbed from the inside! The second time I would not deal with such hemorrhoids - I would put a subwoofer and not steam. The amplifier was installed in 15 minutes, all the wiring (including the power wires from the battery) was dragged through the decorative sills.
Then he took up the front acoustics - installed the tweeters in the plugs near the rear-view mirrors, the crossover inside the door and through the 16.5cm midbass spacer into the regular place. The sound is much better!
