Spikes on linden ... - Toyota Corolla, 1.5 liter, 2006

Having traveled last winter on Velcro (Yokohama guardex k2 f720 185/65/R14) I realized that I didn’t like it and definitely planned to buy spikes for this winter season. As a result, long and hard looking for what kind of tires to buy.
As always, I asked friends and acquaintances for advice and talked on the forums.
Definitely looking for the dimension 185/70 R14. Recommended for my car and basins.
Based on the results of all communications, several brands of rubber were selected.
1. 185/65 R14 Dunlop SP Winter Ice 01 90T spike
2. 185/70 R14 NOKIAN Hakkapeliitta 5 XL spike
3. 185/70 R14 NOKIAN Hakkapeliitta 7 XL spike
4. 185/70 R14 Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 5000 spike

In general, I decided to buy good expensive tires, but as everyone says good 185/70 R14 NOKIAN Hakkapeliitta 7 XL. So, I went to the store. Arriving at the store began to communicate with the seller. And as a result of communication with him, I decided to take :) 185/70 R14 Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 5000. I would take Cruiser 7000, but there is no production of this rubber for my dimension, which is a pity :(.

As a result, I saved 5000 rubles. For the reason that I bought Bridgestone and not NOKIAN Hakkapeliitta 7 .

185/70 R14 Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 5000 - 10240r. For 4 pieces.

As a result, when faced with a new shoe, I wanted to put new tires on the old basins. Discs were a little tortured and beaten and dented. I wanted to align them with the machine to roll them back automatically. At the time of re-obuvki in the city, I traveled a bunch of tire fitting, few places have automatic running discs. In the city, I probably found 3-4 pieces, and then everywhere I was dynamized for the reason that there was a stir for everyone to change their shoes and they generally refused to do this, they said that in their free time. And having traveled more, the prices everywhere were old, sometimes 350r to 500r, then even more for one disc. And I wanted to break in all 4 at once and otbalonsirovat.
After thinking, I decided not to soar my brain. And buy new bowls.
In general, I bought basins R14 4/100 - 4400r. For 4 pieces.
And went to the tire shop. In general, I gave rubber and basins to the tire fitting, they glued the rubber to the disk, inserted the nipple and balanced the wheels and gave 460 rubles for it. Like. And I put on my shoes already near the garage with my father.

It can be seen from them that they passed their own. Even though they were new when I bought the car.

In general, that's all I now ride spikes :)

Rolling has already passed on the rubber 500km.
So far I'm happy with the tires.
Holds decent. Better than my previous velcro.

I am happy with this tire.

If I notice any downsides, I'll be sure to let you know.

A little video about Bridgestone.

Yes, it means really Velcro is not for us. There are countries where studs are prohibited, and non-studded winter tires were developed for them. And now tire manufacturers sell their developments with us and also seriously claim their superiority over studded tires. Another opinion in favor of spikes (far from the first), but I have not yet heard that a Velcro person praised. Although many people buy, they believe sellers and advertising. And now, it seems, I will never voluntarily put them on my car.

In general, the train on it, I was faced with different situations. Which I didn't like. Sometimes there were skids backwards. At small turns and at low speeds. There was a situation when the rear wheels got stuck in a groove not big in the form of a twisted speed bump. And even though the car and 4WD but I could not leave. In general, and for all these minuses, I decided to definitely buy spikes. Yes, and it seems to me everything is exactly thorns are thorns.

velcro is only good for:
-frequent driving on clean asphalt, good maneuvering and braking.
-There is practically no noise, it’s not a pity to slip on the pavement and brake sharply.

5000 norms. rezya, at my work 3 classmates go for 2-3 years.
7000 is a new model, I don’t know anything about it ...

haka 7 is an excellent tire, that winter it was on it that they took good places in ice races.
but the price is not real.

khaki 5, I have one now, it holds an order of magnitude better than khaki 4, measured and evaluated. and better than a German classmate gislaved norfost 5. I am satisfied

By the way, I have already skated for 2-3 seasons on a 185/70 R14 Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 5000 spike. What I want from rubber, it does not. Next purchase will be NOKIAN Hakkapeliitta 5 XL spike or NOKIAN Hakkapeliitta 7 XL spike

agree with.
"-frequent driving on clean asphalt, good maneuvering and braking."
Well, we can agree here. on dry pavement it is easier to ride. Handling in my opinion is really better on dry pavement.

"There is practically no noise, it's not a pity to slip on the pavement and brake sharply."
About the noise, yes :) the spikes are noticeably noisy :) at low speeds :) around the city.
but about the place and the brake, yes, that's right, I ride more calmly on spikes. Yes, and in my opinion it will not be superfluous in the winter, since you also need to drive less recklessly :)
