Autodrom St. Petersburg - introduction. — Toyota MR2, 2.0 liter, 1997
Joy knew no bounds when I heard for the first time that we might still have our own track. Not much time has passed, and already in the November holidays there was an opportunity to try out the track. To be honest, I had already put the car into hibernation, but this opportunity was not to be missed. On the first day, it was decided to go and see … to understand what awaits us next spring!
So, the route is located near the Moscow highway, not far from the Ring Road, which is very convenient. So far, only the first layer of asphalt has been laid, there are retarders made of cones on the straights, in some turns the same cones limit the width. Despite this, I really liked the route. Before that, looking at the scheme, I was honestly a little skeptical, but after trying it, I realized that everything is much more interesting live. The only thing missing from the configuration is at least one really fast corner... Although the track is advertised as the fastest track in Russia, it's still because of the average speed due to the long straights. Oh, and there is still not enough relief ... Nevertheless, the track was still impressive. Of course, I look more at the small ring of this track, where the power of the motor will play a smaller role:
On the 14th I went for the second time. On this day, they brought the timekeeping and managed to measure it - it's nice, of course, to drive on a wet track at the same time as more powerful and all-wheel drive evolutions :)
Looking forward to spring and full opening!
So, Roma, what kind of childhood disease is it to shoot down a cone, ah-ah-ah :)
Photos are very cool! Murka is extraordinarily good!
Yes, I’m like that))
Actually, I’m second ;) More precisely, on the fifth lap I showed the best time, but touched a little cones in two places - they told me you cut the track and knock down the cones, we won’t count :D
And of course no one not trying to surprise anyone, just went for fun!
PS: Thanks to the kind photographers, I added cool photos from the 14th.
but I already found it :) on Xrace :)
Yes, you overtook everyone :) !
Not only fast, but also modest =)
I won’t argue)) because I can’t) in general we will wait for the full opening of the track and train our skills)
Feelings are different ... but as one smart person wrote - training on a wet track can give much more useful and understanding of the car than on a dry one;)
but in a dry way there are completely different sensations) stability is felt, but here it is slippery, maybe of course the tires are like that, we'll see)
Well, just on a wet track, without a motor and having some skills, you can drive very decently;) Yes, and as a training and understanding, this is also very useful.
Well, who is preparing for winter, but for someone the summer season is still going on :D
Next season, too, I will choose to ride on the track.
True, I do not like long straight lines. A "karting" snake looks much more interesting - there the power of the car will be an order of magnitude less important.
Great news, a separate asphalt track - it's very interesting! I hope to see the fight on this track regularly
Pleasant extension ... very! :) The anticipation of the next season is especially warm in winter!
