Suspension.Front.It's time. — Toyota 4Runner, 3.4 liter, 2001
So, as I already wrote somewhere before, by a strange coincidence, they didn’t guess with the springs, they sank during the season. The muzzle sank indecently simply.
The way out is to replace the springs with new ones. But I decided not to do this for the time being, since by the summer I plan to replace the shock absorbers in a circle, then the springs are already en masse.
In the meantime, I carved spacers from duralumin (Kaprolon did not want to, I don’t trust xs why). Not myself, of course)) spacers, in principle, copy the original ones from some thread of the lift kit. Spacers are 30 mm, which in the end, according to all reviews and manuals, gives an "elevator" of 48mm 9+/- a couple of mm). Actually, what I need at the moment)
So on Saturday I'll go do garbage. Namely-
1-replacement of the upper ball. They are still from the factory) it's time. left creaked. But they still don’t play, of course, but I don’t like it when something creaks somewhere.
2 — installation of spacers and measurements of the results obtained
3 — the joy of the work done.
Below is a drawing of a spacer, here it is)
2200. Not the cheapest option, of course. The same person for 1500 makes ball spacers, by the way.
I'll take before and after pictures with a ruler. Interesting for myself)
And how much did the spacers cost?
And don't forget to check before and after installation)))
I had the same garbage with OME, or rather, right now I have it. I didn’t lift the car right away, first the rear, and then, a year and a half later, the front. When I put the kit on the front, it turned out to be higher, the car turned out to be loaded with potatoes. Also under the rear I machined the spacer springs 18 mm, only iron ones. The price came out 800 rubles for both. So it’s better to take +200 kg springs!
it's ok, it's still in stock. it rarely gets to the fenders. enough stroke. In the spring to change everything, and for the winter I have enough spacers
