CARBONation (or when there is nothing to do). — Toyota Sprinter Trueno, 1.6 liter, 1997
The friend bought films for himself (3M firms price 2190r for 100 by 120 cm sheet), so stick all sorts of little things in the cabin (otherwise they are pretty worn out).
And of course, I cut him a little to try what happens, I thought about it for a long time, and then the case turned up)
It turned out that this sheet was enough to haul almost 3 salons. I mean the plastic on the panel mostly.
Actually, for about an hour we did all this work together with Slavik ( MT13 ), pulled, smoothed, wrapped, etc. and here is the result, everything is pasted on the first attempt.
In fact, I thought that the whole process was much simpler ... that I heated it up, pressed it and voila ... but it turns out that creases appear and all sorts of other nonsense.
By the way, if you are doing such a thing or just decided to try it yourself ... do it at least 2 or even 3. for convenience, it happens that two hands are sorely lacking ...
we pulled one element in 3. that is, one heated and the other two pulled in different directions ...
and by the way, there is a special glue for 3M carbona, they say it helps a lot in working with heavy elements.
