Headlight styling - Toyota Caldina, 1.8 L, 2004
Made evil headlights). Here is the process:
-remove the headlights, everything is clear here… remove the bumper and mustache. for this 45 minutes.
-Hour lights lay in the sun (for 30g). then I warmed up the plastic (not the plexiglass itself) for 5 minutes with a simple hairdryer (not industrial, vitek of some 1800W power) and in a couple of minutes (while continuing to heat, because not evenly warmed up with a hairdryer) I opened the headlight. it is more convenient to open it from the side of the turn signal, put it in like a wooden spatula or knife and cut the sealant.
- all my neat. I had decent dust. chrome-plated part (on 3 self-tapping screws to be attached to the glass) treated with white spirit.
I left the rings instead of the angelic eyes, so I glued them with insulating tape neatly (exactly). everything dries
- painted with black matte paint for higear bumpers (not thermo). painted immediately on chrome (although some advise to clean it up with a fine sandpaper, but I already zaeb ... Xia). it turned out to be 3 layers.
- collecting back. we heat the sealant on plastic and connect it to the glass. start from the corner opposite the turn signal. then we heat everything and squeeze.
Hiro eyelashes are also supplied ( hirojapan.com/hiro/products/products_index.htm )
Price tag: 4 000 ₽the taste and color ... for me on white just looks.
at least it became clearly more expressive than chrome
Race flights are valid! Everything is cool.
Only about the sealant it became interesting. Wasn't it easier to seal everything up with a new sealant during assembly? And another question. Didn't the headlights sweat? I just can't imagine how you can melt the sealant around the entire perimeter of the headlight with an ordinary hair dryer
