BLOW-OFF HKS — logbook Toyota Celica 1999
The HKS blowdown valve uses a unique sequential valve structure and a differential pressure control system that allows for a wide range of operations from low boost to high boost.
In 1994, HKS introduced the first wastegate that shook up the automotive industry with its unique pull-type design and split pressure control system. This advanced system could be used with equal success in both low and high boost vehicles. The pull-type design ensured stable operation regardless of pressure increase.
The Super SQV 3 bypass valve uses a nickel plated cast secondary valve and a stainless steel main valve. The secondary valve presses on the main valve, C-Clip and spring. Thanks to this scheme of operation, the tightness and strength of the bypass valve itself is improved.
There is a holographic HKS logo on the back of the bypass valve, and a molded HKS logo is also on the valve body. In this way, HKS guarantees the authenticity of its products.
The Super SQV 3 bypass valve uses the same mounting flanges for installation as all previous generations of SSQVs. This ensures compatibility with all optional accessories designed for SSQV valves.
