Preparing for a repaint. part 1. Analysis - Toyota Mark II, 3.0 liter, 1995
Due to the fact that they can’t pick up my native color in our wonderful city, I decided to repaint the car completely, at the same time remove small kosyachki on the body. Since the car is painted with acrylic in Japan (painted without varnish), after polishing, all sorts of scratches are visible throughout the body, and it is difficult to polish. I will paint under the varnish.
Therefore, I dismantled all the extra body parts: I removed the door trim, moldings, bumpers, hood, trunk, optics.
I changed the fenders to new ones, because after the Japanese, the rolled fenders contain a ton of putty, which burst back in Japan, but I'm not going to put wide wheels and put the car on the ground again. Therefore, they have no meaning.
The front left door was also replaced, which I crushed myself, with my own car, on my own engine, lying on the way :) when the car was rolled into the box after the swap.
in the process of replacing the door, 2 jambs got out: the door does not close from the central lock button, and for some reason the speaker does not work (neither on the new nor on the old door). probably burned the output from the tape recorder. I will look for the reason.
