LED in instrument panel — logbook Toyota Caldina 1996

I have long wanted to clearly display the number of kilometers traveled and the tachometer.
I bought a meter of white LED strip because it is cheaper than 4 ready-made smd LEDs instead

I dismantled the instrument panel, at first I did not know how to power it, where the plus and where the minus was looking for by guiding my finger along the tracks))

I cut off pieces of 3 LEDs from the tape, soldered the wires to them, and the wires to the base

glued these pieces to the back wall

I also wanted this picture on the plate

I need to buy the rest of the tape from you! I now know how to properly disassemble my panel!

I added one more to myself, at 4000 rpm and 180 km / h it was dim.

Yes, I’ll wash the same tape as yours, 1 in 1. I’ll be at home in the evening, I’ll take a picture and show it. More? Well, maybe you need to put more ... I put instead of 4 lamps 4 ribbons with three LEDs on each, just like you in general. Sedna may still give a tidy like I have for experiments, so I think I'll try to put these tapes in different ways, maybe it will turn out to be a track.

Do you have SMD LEDs? if you need, I have white left)
you need to try more LEDs and illuminate the side, it helped me)

No, I didn't even take a picture. Well, I stuck tapes in places where the lamps should have been. It turned out that the LEDs shone just on the diffuser (transparent plastics) from below, like the lamps that were there. Otherwise, I don't know how else to do it. White ones like yours are much brighter than red ones.

how did you do? You can do it not on the back. wall, and the side will then shine brighter. + it is necessary to shine in a container with transparent plastic masks. I didn’t succeed the first time either), it was dim in one place. There are pictures?

I looked at you, I decided to stir it up in the same way, I have long wanted to switch to St. Diodes. I bought the same ribbons, only red ones, put them on, finally it turned out to be crap (((apparently due to the fact that the red ribbon shines much worse than the white one. As a result, I returned to where I started, namely to ordinary lamps with red rubber handpieces. ) )) lost I think that you can still try
