Where the rear brakes come from. - Toyota Platz, 1.5 L, 2002

During the technical inspection, we were told that the braking system is clearly not so hot ... We pumped and corrected something, now it's time to change the rear pads.
After a not very successful visit to the service with the front pads, the rear ones decided to change themselves.
More precisely, THEY decided so - the kings and gods of auto mechanics in my then female eyes :)
Day X came, the original pads were delivered,

and threw off the rear wheels.


Further manipulation of bolts, pliers and screwdrivers was the height of trickery for me. The guys got bunched up and knocked out, tightened the springs, actively pressed the brake pedal and pulled the handbrake.



Total: the car stops rooted to the spot, and my weak female hands can only tighten the handbrake by half. They say that now everything is as it should be.
PS: as a bonus, there is now a light in the trunk :)
