Defrost doors. — Toyota Corona, 1.8 liter, 1989

Full timing here forum.corona-club.ru/index.php?topic=12797.0

In short:
The winter turned out to be warm, it rained a lot, and frosts were already starting at night. In general, one day I found that my driver's door froze, everything is normal and mine as evil. Okay, I moved from the passenger to my own (while I was driving to my destination, the door opened). This happened three more times at the end of October, through November.
But then the first snow fell, the frosts really began, and in the afternoon it was also minus. That's when both doors refused to obey me. But I reluctantly crawled through the rear! front passenger seat and beyond. Stained decently upholstery and panel. All this was very annoying, but I thought it would pass, in the winter it would be dry, it would come off and not be anymore, but how wrong I was))) In general, I drove with such tricks for about a week, the doors opened only when real heat began in the car.
The people advised me to check if there was water in the doors, I went to this for a long time, but I decided to open them all the same.

Before that, I tried to shed locks, because. pouring locks did not give anything (and it would be strange if it did, because they didn’t freeze). I dismantled the driver's, lubricated all the mechanisms with what it was, and it was with graphite, at the same time lubricated the glass drive. it is the most used of all.
And now the most interesting thing, they wrote to me about possible water. Yes, there was not much water in the driver's seat, it did not go away completely, apparently because in addition to it there was garbage in the form of remnants of electrical tape, leaves, etc. there were some kind of dams. I spilled silicone grease on top in addition to graphite, and wiped everything dry below and spilled it with VDshkoy, even if there is water left, it will be diluted with oil, which will save the metal and not freeze the locks. At the same time, it was immediately clear that the drainage holes were washed out.
There was more debris and more water in the second door, there I lubricated only the lock mechanisms and also spilled the bottom with VDshkoy.

What happened, I'll find out tomorrow morning))) well, there is no more water there, and the mechanisms are protected from moisture.

I also processed all silicone seals so that it does not freeze, we will also check)

It looks like everything that was dried up. Now after 3-4 days I have adapted.
There are enough solenoids to open the rear ones, due to a miscalculation of the design, the front ones do not have the best lever, but the thrust from the lock began to suffice. So now, approaching the car, I open the rear signaling, the left one with the key and the right handle from the passenger compartment is a chore, but at least it’s much easier to crawl from the back seat.
Now we can say the issue is resolved)

The latest news, the right door is OK, but the left one, it seems until spring, it looks like some kind of thrust is bent. as soon as you disassemble the door, it opens, then it may stop closing, then it’s normal and wedges again and everything is within one time, i.e. obviously not freezing. In the spring I will look for the cause.

It's still okay. I licked through the trunk somehow. The desire was to seal the joints with glass for the winter with silicone sealant ...
