Motor! — Toyota Corolla FX, 1.6 liter, 1992

  Toyota Corolla FX 16 1992

Hi all!

It's done! The motor was assembled and put on the car!
Everything worked out very well! We found a crankshaft (looks like new), by some miracle we managed to find a pulley, liners and rings were bought without problems.

The long-awaited moment (engine factory) has come true, fortunately without problems. Again they mixed up the wires on the rhyme =)) So from the beginning the engine stalled. Having dealt with the wires, he purred, well, as he purred, he burst out, I would say, because. exhaust to the manifold was not screwed, spat a little fire.
And here it is the long-awaited break-in. Ran in relatively quickly. The work was done is not small, THANK YOU to my friend (Aleksey), he is in the photo, without him nothing would have happened.
Bottom line: Was replaced crankshaft, crankshaft pulley, liners, seals, rings, gasket, washed engine, finally replaced antifreeze and of course all the belts. It's good that the block was intact.
Thanks to all my friends for rolling my butt while I drank with grief =)) The car is now in full combat. But I don’t want to turn it to the maximum, we’ll wait for the heat and brand new devices.

Thank you all for your attention!
PS Unfortunately, only part of the work on the engine was photographed.

Great! I'm very happy for you! A familiar feeling when you start the engine after a bulkhead and it purrs and even if the pipe is not in place yet, it's still a smile from ear to ear)

Were the scuffs in the cylinders? And then the nulevik needs to be lubricated. Or put a regular filter … otherwise the motor eats dust when the filter is not wet! Hello Vlad.

Fortunately, the block was intact. Yes, and I plan to put a regular filter for the winter! Ok I'll pass it on!
