We roll "cotton wool" - 2 (roll up!) - Toyota Soarer, 4.0 liter, 1986
Today, armed with schemes, enlisting the help of a friend (latvik — hello), I drilled into the garage after work.
A few wires, a dialer to clear the conscience, checking the circuits ... Started the ABS pump and clicked the solenoids. From the sound it was audible that the system was running dry - the assumption about the storage tank turned out to be correct.
A couple of such launches, the battery is full.
Then along the knurled — starting from the farthest wheel.
Bottom line:
1) the pedal, which, after replacing the GTZ, from the first pressing, acquired hardness only at the very floor, is now hard at the very top, as it should.
2) Previously, it was necessary to swing two or three times for a sane feeling of the brakes, and after a short time this feeling disappeared.
Now after the same amount of time, the pedal stays the same.
3) And most importantly — now I can pump systems with Toyota ABS.
…we will see tomorrow if there are any changes. But it's already easier.
UPD. added a diagram of the ABS system.
Laziness. Just like mooing, especially when looking at a diagram. You drive the solenoids to the extreme position, at the same time the pump is turned on.
Vitya, if anything — my car is definitely older by another 5 years. My GTZ was dead - there was a working on the walls that you could feel with your finger. And the symptoms were typical for the GTZ - uneven pedal failure (like you press, and then again - it went a little deeper).
I installed the GTZ from the same one, I took it from Maxeem from Ussuriysk. Before assembly, I opened it and checked the condition, the walls are like a mirror. After installation - uniform operation over the entire range, but because of the air in the system - a feeling of "wool".
Aleksey, if your ABS is in good working condition, then the logic of pumping your system without violence is:
1) pumping the system.
2) we leave on the road where there are conditions for the ABS to work, we brake to the floor so that the ABS works.
3) we go to the garage and pump again.
Shl, if there is air in the internal reservoir, then during the operation of the ABS on braking, the pedal should fall even lower.
your output in the gtz is probably already 20 years old :) the car is a turbo, it was often slowed down :)
in short, now I’m definitely obliged to give you these bolts ... at the same time you will show on the iron what and where to jumper, otherwise you describe the symptoms exactly, and the wise men told me that the GTZ needs to be changed ... although it may need to be changed
I don’t know how it is on new ones, I have a 2 + 1 system, the circuitry is such that if the ABS actuators / pump do not periodically work, then the internal ABS reservoir does not receive new fluid. If air accumulates there, then expelling it from there is simply UNREAL without activating the solenoids / pump, everything is clearly visible in the diagram. And the same air will constantly seep through the one-way valve from the ABS reservoir into the system. Therefore, it is necessary to somehow force the system to turn on. If the ABS is working, we brake to the floor on mud / ice / puddle to make it work. If it is clinically defective (like mine), then we commit an act of vandalism.
The reservoir with brake fluid is not to blame here.
Weather. I missed something. But does the air in the system (not counting the calipers) rise to the top point (tank)?
Or is your abs block higher than the tank itself ?!
yes to you, IMHO in general it is simple and no grace. you remove tubes from any brand-barrel. you put yourself. pumping. all.
I also wanted to remove it on the stamp, but having estimated the lope of the crap with all sorts of tubes, I did not touch it. especially with our dibile state and their technical regulations
ABS and nafig, in principle, did not give up. Just in order to castrate her, I hope to make a series of uninteresting gestures. and so - it's worth it and let it be worth it. does not ask for food
fuck this abs. I rode a fresh Delica last winter, it makes it even worse on ice. even annoying sometimes.
from it as it should! abs dead? if dead, then you need to force it to run. if it shows signs of life and abs-it, then you need to pump it and then slow down on the go so that the abs works.
By the way, where did you get it? 2l or 3l? in the same place in Moscow, soarers were counted according to the Poles ...
