After replacing the backlight, after looking, thinking, I decided to change the panel overlay (all numbers and scale markings were drawn in orange) and here I also decided to stand out, instead of the standard black background, white was taken as the basis, numbers and black markup + changed design and fonts , the graduation of miles has changed to the usual kilometer. The result was a multilayer "sandwich" of vinyl films.

You need to create different designs and sell them, for many it is easier to buy than to make, but you did great.
Corel program is taken, and a scan of the stock socket! the first layer is made of white matte vinyl, the one that you see, the second is tinting so that the numbers are black, the third layer should be black matte vinyl in a mirror image - it is glued to the tinting from the reverse side (the most difficult layer, since it must be clearly aligned with the first) and the fourth layer of white vinyl - it is needed to evenly scatter light ... I hope I told it in an accessible way!
