I feel almost Neo, or my first matrix! — Toyota Cresta, 2.5 liter, 1990
Thoughts about how to make a body kit according to the mind, that is, through matrices and, if possible, without putty, I have long been overcome, and after much doubt and reading specialized sites, I felt the Force in myself :-) This Force made me find a place where you can buy polyester resin and a few kilos of sculptural plasticine (the last weapon has not yet been used, but everything will continue). For experiments, a radiator grille was chosen - a part of not the simplest shape for a beginner. The old grating of my own production began to crack in the places where the metal meets fiberglass. In general, this is what happened.
Making a product on it turned out to be much easier than making it myself. Last night I put a gelcoat, and the first layer, this afternoon a couple more layers - half a day under a heat gun and now you can remove a new product. It came out not without effort, but the first pancake was not lumpy at all. It remains to putty it a little and glue the fasteners.

I'm always tempted to learn something new :-)
also itching for a long time to remake the grille, and the headlight with a hole, since the hole was already cut out last winter, and the headlight is lying around doing nothing :) tell me the sites from which I took this information? otherwise I mostly glued fiberglass with epoxy. read at least. better in person :)
