As promised — a series of paintings on the close-fitting hood)

The whole thing took about two hours.

We clean from jambs, putty places of repair and pits.

We clean it, we remove it, we matim everything again. wipe dry from dust

We moisten the hood and the film with water from the fairies, throw

with a hairdryer, smooth and slightly stretch the film from the center to the edges

cut, dry the edges, bend.

Everything is clear and crisp! For a long time I was looking for an intelligible manual with photos!

Well then, generally buzzing)

Well, you can only see it at the curved edges. The film itself even has a small shagreen, and looks like white enamel.

I think very nothing. Cheap and cheerful. In appearance it is clear that the film?

I think so)

understand, thanks :)

I hope everything will be ok! looks great)

shouldn't. usually they don’t glue it on bare iron, there was no soil at hand for the hood, there was a small speck of metal during grinding, I’ll check it. and so all the moisture is expelled, it warms up with a hair dryer, and then the film does not let moisture through.

cool :) ... and there will be no corrosion under it?

B
Bars2fast 17.02.22

No, it's hard to tear it off even with your hands. just warm it up with a hair dryer. then it rips off.

and then she will not peel off?

Do you buy film in the store, or do you order it online?

B
Bars2fast 17.02.22

Well, if you make neat joints, then probably not really. I'll try the complex spoiler myself later.

J
JackCampbell 17.02.22

Great, *****! Do you think my spoiler is not very difficult to cover with such a film?

B
Bars2fast 17.02.22

I would also paint it, but the budget does not allow it, but I could cover it myself)) in the end I do not regret it. but over time I will still paint, in 2-3 years

Stunned! I still did not dare to wrap the car with a film ((
I will paint!

B

yes bullshit)))

M

I hope you don't have to re-glue! So much effort put in!

B
Bars2fast 17.02.22

we don’t have enough hands to glue on a dry hood, we need at least three of us. and there is only one spot of bare metal (there was no soil at home), and then, before gluing, I dried this place.

Let's see if something comes out - I'll re-glue it, it's not a tricky thing.

Everything is cool!) I follow the car from the beginning! That's just the hood was dry all the same ... all the moisture will not come out ... it will remain in the micro cracks, and there is corrosion ... The bumper does not care, but I'm worried about the hood))

fairies so that a uniform film is created on the surface, and the water does not roll into droplets, leaving dry patches. one or two drops about half a liter

I'm wondering about fairies) why is it? in what proportions? how to work with it?
