Debut in racing ... - Toyota 4Runner, 3.4 liter, 2001
So, we didn’t participate in races in principle before. All sorts of shit and swamps for a while, boring. And then the Land Cruiser Club gathered to race in the format of orienteering according to the legend. Like an off-road rally, and even with a bunch of puddles deep to the doors in places. 3 SS for time. the total length is about 35 km
Tanyukha, my navigator, and part-time beloved wife, was a navigator for the first time. The first time I saw the legend 5 minutes before the start. The first time I held a navigator not a road one, but a normal one. But realizing that we know where the left and right are, it was decided to try))
While everyone lowered the wheels before the start, ran with monometers and checked that everything was smooth, we ate lard! By the way, it was a wonderful lard, yeah) The task before the start was one - not to get lost and get to the finish line. My main task is not to forget that we are really driving, and this is not the next level of some thread of a racing toy) And that you can catch a pine along the way.
Conclusions on the results of the race - 1 - the
foranner is cool
2 - for the first time I flew on my foraner. It's a kapets what funny sensations) By the way, the flight was perfect, we landed without trim on two axles. They didn't break anything))
3-races are won not by the power of the engine and the size of the wheels, but by the head and ingenuity. (and a cool navigator)
4-you need to buy a second car and make it for such things.
5- it turns out that ABS works for me))))
6- on someone else's car it would be possible to throw off 5 minutes from the result))
In short, we took 2nd place! world 4x4 lady named Martyanova) I think everyone knows her.
Here is such a debut, everything is cool, my Tanya did not make a single mistake on the track. All checkpoints passed without errors, smart girl!
It's hard to say) DRL collective farm and turned on at night definitely gives a lot)

Wow cool! Congratulations! Second place is great too!
I always dreamed of participating in this kind of competition! Eh...
I think it was she who screwed me up on the sprint too. At 70 ...
Although I could be wrong.
Also 2 came then.
yes, yes, which rides a trophy on a 70-ke, and she drives on similar races on Padzherik.
Thank you. I doubted not in him, but in myself) In the coming days they promise to mount a vidos from the races, I'll post them later, and photos. maybe something useful.
I put the boy's radio tape recorder, I did half the job)) now I need a huge box with a speaker in the trunk to make it rattle)))
Well done!
We also went to see the competition in the fall: we helped to pull out a participant drowned with his head on the Suzuka Samurai (3 hours), rescued sponsors from the ditch (1.5 hours) ... as a result, we earned the Cup of participants in the competition before anyone else, without even intending to participate :oP
Here is the "offset"! And interesting pictures, and the result speaks for itself! Hold the gingerbread!
