A little about improvements - logbook Toyota Carina ED 1993
I will share the improvements that the car has undergone until recently. This is the first stage, even the first experience. Basically, the exterior has changed. Next in line is handling, but more on that later.
body kit
I watched body kits and Varis, and Hiro, and other handmade items. The choice fell on the native factory body kit for a number of reasons:
- the car looks fast, sporty, nothing more
- the clearance decreased slightly, a couple of centimeters
- and it just turned out to be to my liking, harmony so to speak)
He collected it bit by bit: thresholds in Krasnoyarsk, a lip from Vladivostok, rear lining from craftsmen from Hephaestus. The native body kit is a thing, although inexpensive, but very rare, the owners of EDex will not let you lie.
After installation, I could not get enough and immediately realized what was missing. What? That's right, discs!

I also looked at a bunch of options and realized that the right wheels should be:
— Japanese
— relatively light
— rare, with an exclusive design
— and in harmony with the car again)

Well, as you understand, the way I was ordered to Japanese auctions. In my opinion, five-, six- and seven-spoke wheels with thin spokes are most suitable for EDs. I was specifically looking for this particular model. Here she is:
Kreuzer Series V by Yokohama Advan, 17" 7J ET40, Silver, weight 7.1 kg
Initially, I wanted to fly 35 and the color Gun Metal, but I'm happy with this, they are very rare and expensive. Departure slightly corrected Japanese spacers Kyo-EI 5 mm. The total offset has become 35, the length of the regular studs is enough. By the way, the spacers are very good quality.
By car, the wheels look gorgeous, there are simply no indifferent ones. Again, those who saw them live will not be allowed to lie). The dynamics after regular 15 NIS has not changed much, apparently the light weight has an effect. Wrapped in Dunlop SportMaxx ZR17/215/45 tires. The rubber is tenacious and not oak, the impressions are excellent, there is nothing to compare with, I went only on it)

Here it was possible to finish with this item, since no tuning came across on the ED, but it has not yet grown to handmade. Therefore, I limited myself to installing a restyled bumper with white turn signals, white crystal-like repeaters in the wings, and polished headlights. Established light does not like at all C grade. Replaced headlight bulbs with Koito WhiteBeam III. With Koito the light turned white, on a solid four
Also painted grille in body color. The car immediately rejuvenated, no one will say that it is from the last century and the 93rd year of release)

It makes no sense to describe other maintenance and minor repairs. In the cabin, I updated the tidy lamps to white diodes, cleaned the interior, haven’t touched the music yet.

no one will tell you if it is possible to make a place for the rear number plate in the bumper to fit the European standard? (from square to rectangle). it seems that everyone looks well-groomed Japanese women, many bubbles do not spare them, but the illuminated frame screwed to the bumper spoils everything.

Exactly the same opinion about the factory body kit. Plus, it's surprisingly strong. We had a semi-annual rainfall in a week + lazy road builders = disgusting roads. Everything is intact, although he fought hard with thresholds and a lip. Disks fire, I envy.
