The sensor is located in the collapse of the cylinders and it is very problematic to unscrew it and it is still located below the waterline - you will have to drain the antifreeze.

Wait, and if you remove the chip from it and short it to ground, and look how the arrow on the panel behaves, then it should, in theory, lie in its extreme position ... and fall when it opens, and is the fan electric? Electric, does it work? if not, then it’s definitely a sensor, and if it works, it means which rams with an arrow, for example, a wire closes to it somewhere.

A familiar auto electrician said that 90% is a sensor. When the terminal on the panel is removed from the sensor, the arrow falls to the left position. And the electric fan is powered by another sensor.
