coilover tuning — logbook Toyota Corolla Levin 1994
with the advent of frost from the side of the rear struts, sounds appeared on the reverse course of the shock absorbers ... as the shock absorbers warm up, the sound disappears ...
So over the weekend I asked a friend and a very good man in boxing to inspect and possibly adjust the racks.
Upon detailed examination, it turned out 1. the left stabilizer strut died — which in itself could be a source of knocking, 2. the struts differed in height by 5mm…
What was done: I lowered the spring cups by 5 mm on both sides - thereby increasing the shock absorber travel by 5 mm ... And leveled the height of the struts by lowering the higher one by 5 mm ...
Changes are felt: the knocking has disappeared ... but the suspension has become sharper ... stiff ... apparently you still need to play around with the damper stiffness adjustments)
Well, it remains to replace the stabilizer bar)
Damn, why don’t you put stock for the winter? I’ve left mine for the winter ... even though I have it, I’ll point something anyway ...
