Front suspension installation, rail repair, assembly, installation. — Toyota Corolla Levin, 1.5 liter, 1985

        Toyota Corolla Levin 15 1985

They removed the front beam with all its contents and attachments. Got to the rack. I dismantled it, the condition seems to be normal, the traction is alive, the steering tips too, I won’t change it, but the anther is torn and the bearing plays. I got tired of picking up and looking for such a bearing, but I found it right away in a moped store))) 70 rubles. The lower bearing on the worm was also brought up, but I h.z. at that moment, how to pull it out from the bottom … Next, the rail was washed, assembled, lubricated, the torn boot was replaced from the Oka, it stood up as it was. I washed the steering tips, stuffed them with grease, put silicone anthers from 2108, they cost a penny, they fit perfectly. Pressed in new ball joints. The old ones turned out to be quite alive, but still replaced due to the fact that the new ones were already … I put at the same time levers on polyurethane silent blocks.
Various pieces of iron were peeled off and put in order ... They blew the boots at the same time into the cherry.
Suspension. I wanted stiffer springs, but I didn’t know why, I thought about picking up a thicker one from the jig, but changed my mind and went to the store dealing with contract spare parts, in the same place where I took the motor, I picked up the springs. Approached from Diamant, the name R-SR, the issue price is 1000 rubles. I don’t know the stiffness, but they are twice as thick as the stock AE85 ... I sawed off another turn to fit the cup, but damn it falls out when the wheel is unloaded ... I thought either to shorten the stem, or, as they do on rally cars, tie up the cables as a stroke limiter. I did the second option, for the sake of experiment.

In principle, it was possible ... But I don’t want to remove the rack, the cable is like a trial version. Yes, and it is needed only when I jack up the car, it does not affect driving performance in any way (I don’t seem to plan to jump anywhere))

it was possible to weld a mustache to the rack with which the springs would be pressed and it would not hang out, on an untied suspension

I don’t think))) He is needed there only when jacking up the car. I'll get rich, maybe I'll buy screws =)))

The cable will tear off 99%

Colleague! Since I have to do everything the same (except that I have an AE86), I wanted to ask how you processed the body and why the engine compartment and the bottom are blue? =)
