Used:
1) Stock grille
2) Metal. mesh
3) Nippers
4) Putty (BodyFiber)
5) Sandpaper (coarse, fine)
6) Degreaser
7) Primer (MATIP)
8) Paint (MOBIHEL)
9) Varnish (MOBIHEL)
10) Cold welding
I took the stock grille:
Gently removed all unnecessary plastic with pliers:
To eliminate holes along the edges of the frame, I used a polyester filler with fiber - "BodyFiber":
Cured completely in 30 minutes.
Using coarse sandpaper, I cleaned off the protruding layer of putty, after which I processed the entire surface with fine sandpaper to a perfectly smooth surface:
Here's what happened after careful processing with fine sandpaper:
Took a sheet of metal mesh:
I adjusted the mesh to fit the frame with a small margin (2-3cm).
So that by folding it, you can fix it in the frame.
ps: on the back side of the frame, there are many plastic protrusions that can be easily turned into hooks with the help of pliers.
Then I took:
1) Primer
2) Paint
3) Varnish
ps: it is best to use a primer, paint and varnish from the same manufacturer.
degreased the entire surface of the frame and applied a primer in 3 passes:
Then I applied paint in 3 passes:
View after complete drying of the paint:
I covered it with 3 layers of varnish and inserted a metal mesh, securing it around the perimeter with cold welding.
The result is:
Well done ) ... try instead of BodyFiber, Voshemi ... or better make friends with resin and fiberglass ... =)))
Class! Respect for straight arms! Blillin, but it was not enough for me to use fiberglass or badiviber) I also did this, but I will redo it) Thanks for the photo reports) It will help a lot in the future) How much in common, damn it, exhaust, grille, swap)) Like-minded person!)
