Photo report of the manufacture of a direct-flow exhaust system from the front pipe to the end can (muffler) of stainless steel on a 60mm pipe - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 L, 1993
Standard exhaust system:
Catalyst at the outlet (the bolts were cut off, since it was simply unrealistic to unscrew them):
Removed stock exhaust system:
Downpipe:
Muffler Mounts:
Straight through resonator at 60mm:
Stock 40mm pipe and 60mm stainless steel pipe:
Installation of a straight-through stainless steel muffler:
The muffler has a removable flute, which makes the direct-flow exhaust much quieter, which is important when driving at late hours in the sleeping areas of the city:
The result is:
I am very pleased with the sound. The result is a pleasant bass rumble due to the volumetric resonator and end can (muffler).
As for the dynamics of acceleration, it has become noticeably better thanks to an enlarged pipe, a direct-flow muffler and, most, of course, the removed catalyst.
At low revs, the car began to pull a little better, and at high revs, thanks to the ramjet system, the engine began to gain momentum faster.
As you put it, post a video ...
I would like to listen to the sound of the exhaust system =)
Thank you for such a detailed report! He helped me a lot in finding the necessary mounts for the can))
what kind of bank?
what is the name of?
Arecs? or custom hand made?
12 pieces is it just for work - or for everything?
found a contact at the alteza club, thanks!
I didn’t go into such details =)
Type, ask what interests you.

ps: I fully agree with the review on altezza-club (link).
I liked their approach to business.
and the guys there are engaged in subarikas? otherwise the flag hangs on the first photo ...

No, no. I will search as soon as I finish with a swap and by itself not a homemade product =)
I just grabbed myself a jasma for free, so its diameter is smaller (44) than the drain! (45), although it will be longer, we expect arrival at the top) while the car is being assembled
No, no. I will search as soon as I finish with a swap and by itself not a homemade product =)
But the problem with the collector ... My dear is very good. Homemade products can harm! There remain eminent components ... but it's expensive and practically unrealistic (((
Do you have a spider ?!
IMHO, it doesn't make much sense. Only if for the sake of a more bass sound ... by placing a voluminous resonator.
Then it is imperative to put a 4-1 or 4-2-1 exhaust manifold with a receiving pipe so that it will go frolic, and not just sound beautiful =)
I would like a quiet release. I will try to find Jasma either TRD =) I can
digest the catalyst, my pipes are 50mm ... I think!
But with a resonator, tuned is difficult to find ... is there any sense in changing it ?!
Thanks!
I'm glad that in + =)
When do you plan to change the exhaust system? Are you going to take the brand or also make it from scratch?
Well done! And I don't care what nouname ... the main thing is the author is happy;)
Your blog is for me in + to modify your own release. Because it's not a vegetable ...)))
I felt it, only a scanty arrival from the removed catalyst, but IMHO the procedure for removing it is mandatory =)
Well, the standard bank will fit a dofiga, the resonator, I suppose, is also quite a factory one) But the pipes that were offered to me in the rolled metal products - weighed a lot and their thickness was brutally large for such purposes) So I took it from the GAZelle - we wake up to saw and cook from it) Thanks for the information) I'll try to find out this secret from them))
I did it for the guys from altezza-club ( www.altezza-club.ru/forum...index.php?showtopic=16203 ).
Alas, I do not know where the pipes come from and what wall thickness, I can say that the direct-flow exhaust system is 3 times lighter than the drain =)
Respect!) Tell me where did you get the pipe? and what is the thickness of the wall?)) I was looking for straight pipes, but I did not find suitable ones, I bought from a GAZelle, I will make pants for Civic and a pipe from it to the end can) The only difficulty is to find pipes of the required diameter and correctly calculate the distance to the bend in order to increase filling tselindra)
Blog very much! Thanks!
Cool! ) I
listened to the sound, it sounds very daring! ) By racing! )))
young fellow! )
Thank you very much, a very relevant report, my pipes burn out every three months, while everything is fine with the engine! now I will think about repeating your experiment!
Yes, that's right.
Then, the 4AFE engine began to breathe a little better, because the wheelchair was gone.
And now there are Black pants, respectively. They have a standard pipe diameter of 61mm ... so now I have all the exhaust pipes of this diameter.
listen, I didn't quite understand a lot, you left your trousers, after you increased the diameter of the pipe, after the pants comes a resonator, then only the pipe, and at the exit of the bank, right?
As I understand it, inside an ordinary pipe without partitions, just a much smaller diameter?
There were no problems with this.
After replacing the exhaust, the brain is simply reset to zero by dropping the negative terminal.
The brain adjusts itself in a new way and you can go.
Hello my friend! This is all clear, I did everything cool. but there is such a question ... I have heard more than once that after when you change the standard release to forward flow, problems begin with the "brains", because something changes with the exhaust gases and the brain starts to dull, take averaged values, the lambda probe also mows etc ! What do you think about this?
I decided not to install the flame arrester. I put only the resonator.
For the money - xs. A total of 12 tr + replacement of 2 corrugations in the reception.
I don't know much about the issue yet, but did you install an extinguisher instead of a catalyst?
and that for the money the bank with the flute got up?)
It was a hundred years ago. Better call - find out for sure.
For together with work + pipes + bank came out in area 11
It was a long time ago and I have not done this kind of measurements, so I won't tell you, alas.
Please tell me how many pipes did you take in meters? Preparing material for the same job!
