Power steering and so, on trifles - Toyota Carina E, 2.0 liter, 1992

I think those who just thought about replacing fe with ge (4A) know that the power steering is fundamentally different, if only because their pumps are located on different sides of the engine. I'm not talking about the fact that the GE fluid reservoir is remote, when the FE has it on the power steering pump itself. So the first run was carried out with the belt removed, which goes to the power steering pump and the air conditioning compressor. But you have to do something, and so a whole week has passed and nothing has been done on the car. So, fittings were bought from the GUR GAZ pump (Volga) for 85 rubles, it just came up in diameter, and the hose of the required length. But one more fitting is needed, it was decided not to touch the native hose purely from an economic point of view. So we went in search of a second fitting, we barely found it, and not for 85 rubles, but for 406 rubles, yes, exactly. Having become a little numb, I went further and found a set of fittings, including the one I needed for 425 rubles. Bought a kit
So everything is ready, let's get started. We have a hose with an inner diameter of 12mm, 4 clamps, 2 fittings and a desire. They tried it on, tightened the clamps, stretched the hose on the bottom at the beginning, picked up the gur tank, previously purchased at the disassembly for 200 rubles. The hoses used were all bought from a regular auto parts store. They filled in the liquid as much as they could, turning the steering wheel from side to side, then gradually starting the engine and turning it off filled the entire system. It seems to hold everything, not from where it does not press. But full diagnostics only during sea trials. After that, we decided to let the high-pressure hose pass through the top, and not the bottom. Naturally, the liquid had to be drained. Everything is done simply, we remove the hose coming from the rail from the barrel and lower it into the vessel, then we work with the steering wheel.
Bleed the clutch, replacing all the fluid. She was way too dirty. the brakes were left in line, it is necessary to change all the fluid.
Yes, measurements were taken of the recesses for the o-rings from the exhaust manifold, exactly 60mm.
