"Do not forget to turn on the PTF" - Toyota Corolla, 1.8 liter, 2002
Hello. I decided to create my first b / w on the topic "Don't forget to turn on the PTF"
I came to this topic in this way: on November 20, new introductions to the traffic rules came into effect, which consist in the fact that - During daylight hours, all moving vehicles should turn on headlights in order to designate them dipped beam, daytime running lights or PTF.
Now closer to the point: I made the automatic switching on of the PTF on my car when the gear D - 3 was turned on.
Now I will try to explain everything to you in the photo (poor quality) how to do it, namely what to attach where, where to tear off.
My first action is the automatic transmission lever. We get it. 1) Ashtray. 2) We remove the wood trim, which is located around the automatic transmission lever and disconnect the plug from the cigarette lighter. 3) When the wood trim was removed, unscrew the four screws for a curly screwdriver. 4) Unscrew the two ten-key bolts (located inside the armrest at the very bottom). 5) Pull the entire console towards the rear seat.
Everything is shown in the photo.
After what was written above, we find the PTF switch-on relay, which is located on the right side under the panel, you can get to them (see photo). You shine with a carrier and you see two relays, one goes to the PTF (see photo).
We find a plug with six wires (1 photo with automatic transmission, and 2 is an approximate view) and check the voltage on each wire when D -3 is turned on (ignition on). I got a voltage of 12 volts on two wires when the gear is turned on D - 3 wire is blue with a black stripe and the wire is blue with a red stripe to gear D. I chose a blue wire with a black stripe, since the PTFs are lit when gear is turned on D - 3. After we have found the desired wire (blue with a black stripe), we fasten a wire of any color to it (for example, yellow, like mine) and lay it along the wire harnesses to the PTF relay.
On the reverse side, where the wires from the relay stick out, we cut the green wire and isolate the other end of the unnecessary (see photo), fasten the yellow wire to the green one that comes out of the relay (see photo).
End: we start the car, turn on the PTF (without dimensions), turn on D -3 and the PTF light up, and if you turn on P, R, N, 2, L, they do not light up.
If someone does not understand something, ask.
Commenting!
Does the PTF button need to be turned on all the time?
PS under the tree a good interior, I want the same
you check all the wires on the relay (with a chain), on one wire it should be + constant, on the other, when the dimensions are turned on, + appears, and this one + must be cut off from the relay and the wire from the ignition switch must be wound to the relay.

I left the PTF wheel turned and that's it))) And as soon as you turn on the D-3, the PTF will immediately turn on
I wonder what contacts need to be closed on the relay connector so that the PTFs are turned on simply by turning on the button, without the included dimensions?

I have such a native box (luxel grade 1.8l)
yes, you can do it with a film, but the price is high!
I want the same salon under the tree … damn it, but there is a film, I think I’ll paste it over myself?!)))) and also in a chrome box …
And I just put Daytime Running Lights on mine - everything is simple and the energy consumption is almost zero, and most importantly, not a single button or key. Well, your option is also worthy if you do not spend money, do not spend it yet. )))
