Check Engine - Toyota Celica, 1.8 liter, 2004

Hello everybody!

Last week gave an engine error. But next. the day is gone. Looking later at work, it turned out: P0136 Oxygen sensor 2 (bank 1) is faulty (from the error history).
I understand that this is a lambda probe, which comes after the catalyst. Does anyone have any thoughts on solving this problem? Of course, it can be cured by replacement, but if you put a snag, can there be any consequences? If anyone has experience with this, please respond.
Thank you for attention!

I found only one at my place ...
And I want to remove the catalyst ...
To make the sound more interesting and even faster on the bottoms ...
I heard that after removing the catalyst on the bottoms it is faster, and the backlash turns on a little later, it seems to be about the type of tronic I don't know about mechanics.

The first lambda, which is located before the catalyst, is responsible for this.

Wait, it somehow affects consumption, if a mixture of gasoline and air reaches it in large quantities, then it sends a signal that you are pouring a lot of gasoline into pots, and it starts to reduce gasoline pouring ...
It seems so.

I also think that if it bothers, then put a new one and not suffer. Although I understand that this lambda is not so important - it is purely indicator, i.e. indicates whether the catalyst is in order or not (it does not participate in the process of regulating the fuel-air mixture). Therefore, you can not rush to replace :)

Then I wouldn’t bother if it breaks (pah pah pah), then I would take a new one and install it, if there was no catalyst, then I thought about snag ...

Yes, the catalyst with lambda probes in standard places, I didn’t touch them.

Fake...
Do you have a catalyst there?

if the first lambda then change, if the second then put a snag.

I thought so too, but thank God everything passed)). It can be seen that the catalyst and / or the sensor itself would be clogged and therefore the light would be on. After driving 1000 km on the highway, apparently everything burned out and the light is no longer on).

I set myself a snag, because nothing depends on the second lambda. It only monitors the harmfulness of the exhaust that comes out of the catalyst. The catalyst was removed and a flame arrester installed.
