Changed stabilizer struts and bushings — logbook Toyota Corolla Ceres 1995

Yesterday I went to change the struts and stabilizer bushings. I thought that after this procedure I would not be shaken so much over bumps. If you look hard for a difference, then maybe it has become softer, but our road surfaces are like washboards. One good person made me happy here that she will never be soft. She has a rigid suspension by definition. Well, yes, but on a flat road it just flies.
For the details themselves, I gave about a ruble and a half, for the work two.

Bring it first to the "technical mind", and then you can do the little things, there are headlights, a radio tape recorder, etc.

That's what I want, but there's no other way.

Edekha has the same situation, the suspension is stiff, but it becomes more comfortable at speed, it can shake due to the stiffness of the springs and shock absorbers, and a little bit because of the silent blocks.

At this age, shock absorbers with springs may already be tired, I advise you if you change the entire rack assembly, that is, shock absorber + spring + rubber bands.

why change them? it flies like a bird on the highway =) it's dumb in the city, at low speeds.

It depends on what you mean by softness. Sometimes it’s harsh, but at the same time it’s tight, collected, quiet ... but sometimes it’s the other way around - soft like a boat, but the suspension and the whole body rumble on every bump. Then the first option is better of course :)
If everything is in order, then the springs and shock absorbers are responsible for the softness, on the Corolla this is combined into "racks". Depending on the configuration or preferences of one of the former owners, the racks may turn out to be for active driving - when, after 20 km along the highway, the neck begins to get tired from sudden sharp movements of the head.

If you are lucky and you have such racks, then you can easily find a person who will change them to their usual ones, and even pay for the replacement work.

then tell me what it does.
I understand little of this. The rubber bands cracked, so I changed them. thought they

The stub has practically no effect on softness, so everything is fine.

Do you think I can't open it myself? just at minus twenty and without a garage you can’t really twist

All the same, goats, unscrew a few bolts and screw back on, I just changed all this economy twice, well, it took an hour for everything, I always said that it’s better to be a man :)

Well, that's the price … count them in front and behind the same changed.

In order to understand that it is still comfortable, take a ride on Demio or even RAV4, our suspension is much softer! For work something to hell took from you!
