Replacing 2 piston brakes with 4 piston ones from Celica GT Four — Toyota Corolla Levin, 1.6 liter, 1997
A year ago, I decided that after building a turbo, 2 piston brakes would not be enough. I decided to get myself more reliable brakes))). I bought myself 4 piston cars with discs. I didn’t have time to deal with them. So I would have stammered about them if the brake linings hadn’t been worn out on mine. studs, because the stock ones were not long enough because of the spacer between the wheel and brake disk. When everything was ready, the installation took no more than an hour. Now I drive and get high))).
Issue price: 12,000 ₽ Mileage: 170,000 kmAnd we won't tell them, let them sleep peacefully... :)
In general, to be honest, the brake discs from 205 are just a masterpiece ... The thickness is 32mm, very developed, directional ventilation ... All this is designed for such loads that it is impossible to develop even in amateur competitions, not to mention the city ...
And the same Subar discs leads after several brakings ... I have already gone through all this myself ... :)
Red&Black
Congratulations on installing some of the best braking systems in the world... :)
not modest ) ) ) )

At least 16. they won’t fit less. Here is another trouble with disks, you need at least 40 offset.
I replaced the studs with Khundaev ones. They are several millimeters longer than the native ones. This was enough in full. The thread pitch is one to one.
very good idea))) I wanted to know how you solved the issue by carving it was not enough there))?
Great job!
The only point is that the inscriptions on the supports are recommended to be removed if they are contrary to reality.
If Levin was originally fe, then the question arises - where are the two-piston brakes from in front? Or are the brakes from GT-Fora already the third coming? )
but you can in more detail a little bit. why spacers? from the pillars got up without any alterations?
Everything fell without alterations. Or rather, their minimum. And the spacers are needed in order to put the wheel on the hub and change the studs to Hyundai ones. The machines themselves are very large. The offset on the disks is needed at least 35.
Very correct decision to put 4 pistons on the turbo!
By the spring, too, I will put in a circle from the turbo supra. I'm lucky - they put bolton ;)
Are the brake discs from the Celica or from the Beezer? there are 5 holes on the disk ...
brakes from gt-for — offset! and if there are no spacers between the torm and the rim, will they fit into the 15th discs on their own studs?
Yesterday I measured my disk, 305 mm in diameter. I think this is quite enough for the city).
How about Toms? Not turbojet? I just know that the turbojet engine has such a kit for a poppy - one to one like on a GT-fore + 4 holes on the disk. Do not know exactly what kind of problems with the disk he has? It’s as if you don’t want to fly over the money, especially since you already swelled money into Ryksov’s cars for nothing. And who did you buy from Vlad, according to an ad or in which office?
I measured the gap there. A friend of mine took TOMS brakes for himself. He snatched them from someone in extreme sports. They are one to one like mine. Only discs for 4 holes. Duck can’t put them on a strat. put the whole thing.
Well, the bending of the spokes with spacers that increase the overhang can be treated. Those. it turns out that the 15th wheels will fit on a poppy with these calipers? How much clearance is left between the caliper and disc rim? On the stratum, according to my calculations, the caliper will most likely be 6-7 millimeters farther from the axle. Oh, to find these calipers somewhere else, to experiment. I just want 4 pistons, but to leave the 15th wheels for the winter. I was going to put it from ryksy, but in the new regulations of the Red Ring it was forbidden from other manufacturers of calipers :(
I didn’t do any spacers. Everything is on native mounts. The disk is exactly in the center. Why should it be displaced?
Listen, there is a question. Did you use any spacers when installing the brake disc? Did the disc sit exactly in the center of the caliper? And yet, if possible, please measure the distance from the caliper point closest to the wheel axle to the protrusion on the brake disc. At least approximately. Those. I'm interested in how much the caliper could be moved closer to the wheel axis, if you do not take into account the attachment points.
Today I learned from him. He will look at the analysis and write to me. He says that there is).
Got it, thanks! Find out if it's not difficult from a friend. If there is a kit for cheap, I would take it.
Oh, sorry TRD. There, just because of the lever, the disk does not fully fit on the hub. He wants to experiment with the disk so that everything stands up. I have a friend in possession. He bought it for me and sent it. You can ask him more).
You just have to read everything carefully. It says what needs to be done and what not.
