The end of the epic with fogs, or the replacement of the steering column switch - Toyota Corolla, 1.6 liter, 2010
Today finally closed the issue with foglights. A stalk switch was purchased with a separate inclusion of the front and rear PTF and a 5-pin relay from viburnum. First of all, I removed the terminal from the positive of the battery and after 2 minutes (so that the airbag did not work) I started work. He removed the pillow, then the steering wheel, then removed the steering column trim, then the switches. To remove the switches turned out to be not just a clamp holding them and an ilipsa to which it is not easy to get close at the same time. Because the left and right paddles are paired and fiddled with their separation. Then I put everything back together in reverse order. After that I moved on to the beard. Let me remind you that I had a jumper between the contacts of the relay sockets. I dismantled it, removed the jumper, installed the Kalinov relay, having previously broken off the extra leg, then assembled everything.
Issue price: 2 210 ₽I bought a steering column switch in existentialism, a relay in the first car shop I came across
There's nothing to worry about, everything is held on by clips that can be easily detached.
Most likely, I wanted to make myself so that they turn on from the seat belt, from the relay. The connection diagram was here: mytoyota.su/forum/viewtop...%BF%D1%82%D1%84&start=660 about 30-40 pages.
I saw everything, but how to make the fogs light up when the engine is started? Is it possible with a native steering column?
Everything was connected to the standard wiring. Tumanki connected to the plugs that were under the bumper, the stalk replaced the old one with a new one. Didn't cut the wire at all.
Tell me please, how did you connect the PTF to this steering column? I now have a regular button for turning on the front PTFs, and I don’t quite remember how it was connected, as far as I remember, they just soldered the buttons to the contacts, but they used the standard wiring.
The fogs are turned on separately. First, the position of the wheel turns on the front. The second is the front and rear lights.
Please tell me, with this switch, you can turn on the front DRLs without the rear ones? Thank you in advance.
