about the motor… part 2 — logbook Toyota Mark II 1990

In the morning in Sevris (a little space was freed up for me).
Everything seems to be ready, everything is in place.
Picked up the head.
Little things are missing, lost in a week, there is not one cylinder head bolt washer, two rubber bands for the injectors.
I pick up the washer in the store from the cylinder head of something Russian, very similar rubber bands are in the Japanese store.
I forgot to order an intake gasket. Paranit was brought in, he could not cut anything, he tore everything. Used red sealant.
Next, a lengthy assembly of the entire intake, wiring, connecting connectors and tubes (how many are there!). Not very convenient ...
Everything is assembled, I check the marks, TDC, put and tighten the timing belt, final assembly, start key.
Twists... Doesn't catch. Spark test, collective intelligence, gasoline is also there. The timing marks are checked twice.

I did not know that the ignition distributor should be set on the first cylinder, and no one knew that I did not know. Remade. Started up.

It was getting dark.
Motor progget, hovers from under the hood.
I forgot to put a clamp on the short hose that is between the motor and the bulkhead. It is difficult to get there, it took half an hour, no less.

I noticed that the oil was snotty from under the single valve cover, replaced the bolt, broke it when tightened (it didn’t seem to twist much). Enough for today.
Valve cover gaskets will come soon, then I will continue.
