I changed the air filter. - Toyota Corolla, 1.5L, 1998
I got air and cabin filters in exist's office.
The cabin filter cover has not arrived yet. The "position is bought out" status.
The air filter was changed right outside the office.
By me, he has not changed in 24,000 runs even once, and I don’t know when he changed the previous owner.
While driving home, I crushed my sneaker a couple of times.
So after changing the filter, the machine began to switch later. Now he lets the engine spin up to 4-4.5 thousand in one gear, which is very good. Perhaps the failure during acceleration of 40-80 km / h will decrease.
Also, the problem with shaking on D at traffic lights disappeared.
Stood at a sooooo long traffic light, deliberately did not switch to neutral.
So the revs slowly dropped to 580 and stopped at this number.

It looks like it's not the generator belt that makes noise, but the power steering pump. Or both.
I will replace everything at once with one heap, tk. there are three belts for only 1500 rubles.
The pump itself seems to be making noise. Most likely, oil seals and impeller will require replacement.
Better on D seems to me.
Too many switches before P.
It's just that in the summer there is a possibility of overheating of the box (although I have never overheated) and it is better to put it in neutral. But a long traffic light is about 5 minutes or more.
and if it doesn’t shake me, can I be on D and the brake or on P at long traffic lights?
If there is a long traffic light, then the Yapi recommend putting it in neutral so that the box does not warm up.
And if not very much, then on the contrary, they do not recommend that the box does not wear out by switching.
And in neutral, the revs are higher and the car does not shake.
Now it doesn't shake even on D, so I'm happy as an elephant.
